Nba 2008-2009

I thought last years Boston - Atlanta series was a classic... this, shits all over it.

I hope the Bulls pull this off... there will be rioting in the streets of Boston if the Celtics lose.

More like there will be rioting in the streets of Chicago if they win; looking forward to my first LA riot this summer maybe Ill pick up some free loot.

Anyways my round 2 predictions:

Lakers in 5
Nuggets in 7
Magic in 6
Cavs in 6 if Atlanta, 5 if Miami

Surprised you picked the Nuggets, Dallas will be a lot tougher than the Hornets that said I think they will get it in 6 or 7; they should have swept the Hornets were up 22-6 in Game 3 and let them come back, although it was early it should have set the town.

The Lakers should dominate, Houston are good, but I'm not too worried about them.

I actually think Boston could overtake Orlando who werent all that special in the first the one thing that will probably get Boston in trouble is that Howard will dominate down low. However, Orlando are a bunch of idiots and would rather shoot threes, and his inside presence is somewhat negated defensively since Boston have good jump shooters.

Cleveland will sweep whoever they play, especially if it Atlanta

Atlantas composure late in that game was embarassing to say the least

Letting a team get a bit closer like that, if it's LeBron, you're losing

Good game, I must say Jason Kidd looks like MORE of a floor manager now then with Jersey, and that's saying something.

True...but the tie is hardly a walk in the park for the Cavs. Joe Johnson has size and athleticism over both Mo and West. LeBron may have to defend him all game which may affect his offense. Also, Josh Smith is one of the most athletic players in the league...there are going to be some match up problems that should make this tie interesting and closer than most people think.

But what i'm saying is if you'r up by so much, eat clock and finish smart... chucking up 3's with 4 minutes to go as far up as they were, after draining 10 second off the shot clock, was stupidity... If Wooden didn't call that timeout when Miami got to within 15, the game might have been close.

There's talent, and then there's experience... little things like that, allthough not damaging in any stretch, seperates the best from the rest.

Houston can cause some trouble if the hold LAL to 2-18 from long range and force Kobe into 31 shots. That said, I figure LAL will bounce back. Lakers in 6.

Yeah unless Kobe is scoring 50, 31 shots is way too many

Nuggets are about to go up 2-0

Denver look poised... imagine if LA was upset, they'd be favorites to win > Houston... would be such an entertaining Xonference Final for a neutral.

But, it sacrifices the LeBron vs Kobe show.

That was fecking pimp when Fisher took down Scola

It will be interesting to see how the two games go in Houston

NBA or UEFA, which refs are more corrupt? I'm glad the Nuggets got the victory despite the ref trying to stretch the series out.

The funny thing was all teh Mavs and Cuban crying about not getting a foul called on Carmelo's 3, they would have had a fit had it been called at any other point in the game.

the NBA has just announced that the ref(s) did miss the intentional foul that wasn't called and apologized. doesn't change the outcome though.

Yao Ming is out for the rest of the year with a broken foot

Denver-LA it is then it seems

Shit happens, the refs were awful though so Im not that surprised, the Mavs got the better end of the call, doesnt really matter much that the Nuggets got a break with 2 seconds to go considering the Mavs got about 10 throughout the course of the game

Though it would have because it would have either been two free throws (if in the penalty) or ball out on side for in-bounds pass, the latter sets up an immediate catch and shoot play. Who knows if it goes in or if Anthony makes both free throws. But if the foul is called there is no shot as it occurred before Anthony took another step and shot. There would have been no continuation on the foul.

I didn't watch the game just that final shot so I can't comment on other calls/non-calls but it's the NBA and officiating is highly inconsistent and often favors the home teams and star players.

The story of the NBA

Wouldn't go so far as to give LA the series, but I do agree it'll be hard.

It's crazy to think this Houston team are playing so well today without either of their "stars"... what a great team up and down they are, lots of strong role players, wish I took noticed sooner.

It's up in the air, I reckon Denver would have a much easier time with Houston but I think LA will still beat Denver in a series. Yes, though for Cleveland, the Coronation for King James is at hand...

Denver are soft and play no defense so LAL would probably take them out in 5.

Nuggets are actually pretty good defensively. Billups has really turned them into a very good team - proven again that he is a winner. Birdman is great off the bench, too.

Hope the Rockets destroy the Lakers tonight. That said, I can't see it happening. With home court, and undoubtedly instructions from Stern, I think the Lakers have got this one.

The only good thing about the Lakers possibly making the finals is seeing Lebron and the Cavs beat LA.

LA will crush Houston tonight and i think Boston will get beat by a Hedo buzzer beater.

Reckon LA wins due to home court but I still won't count Houston out.

As for the game 7 in Boston, who the hell knows

Wow, well this shall be interesting:

I think Lakers in 7, Denver gets no props STILL, LA look a bit shaky against weaker opponents so far in two rounds, I think they still win, but only on the basis of home court... Kobe has always played "decent" in Colorado but I think Denver wins all their home games... if they can take one in LA like Houston did, they might nick it, but I can't see it.

Cleveland in 6, they face a test in Orlando with parity but the backcourt will MURDER Orlando's, no question in my mind Z and V shutdown Howard at least twice in this series, and a potential match-up between LeBron and Lewis could be key... I reckon both teams win one away, with Cleveland winning all their home games.
