Howard was very good in the dunk competition, the other 3 not so creative except for Green blowing out the candle.

Agree with both parts, the Superman cape was awesome
Just turned it on. Looks like the Lakers are shitting them down now
This game has been awesome reminds me of what the NBA used to be!
I haven't watched a game that was this offensive in a long time
Lakers win and tie the Suns in the Pacific, also take the tie breaker as well since they won the season series 3-1, Kobe Bryant has been the best player in the NBA for the past 5 years imo
the lakers look awesome
what do you think will happen when bynum returns?
you think bynum will be the centre and gasol would take radmanovic's place (though i don't think gasol is as good a perimeter shooter as radmanovic)
Do you ever go to Nuggets games Alex?
3 or 4 last year and 2 this year. Been to only 2 Avs games, got tickets free both times from a doctor friend-those are fecking expensive. We usually do 4 or 5 Rockies games. Never been to a Broncos game, and have season tix at Rapids
Nooooooooo
Yao out for rest of the season, that's it for my flying rockets
it was awesome but it wasnt a dunk
and technically he shouldnt have won it on that basis
The only requirement for a dunk is that you throw the ball in from above the rim, you don't have to touch or grab the rim. So it should be counted as a dunk in my opinion.
"A slam dunk(or simply a dunk) is a type of basketball shot that is performed when a player jumps in the air and manually powers the ball downward through the basket with one or both of his hands over the rim"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slam_dunk
your opinion is wrong. Even the guys on ESPN sportscenter were debating this.
It does say over the rim, but it doesn't say that you have to grab the rim with one or two hands.
From Merriam Webster(the reference in that wiki article):
Dunk Shot: : a shot in basketball made by jumping high into the air and throwing the ball down through the basket
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/dunk%20shot
In the old days when the term "dunk" emerged it was during those days when players didn't put much force in their dunks and they didn't grab the rims alot.
I understand that everybody associates a dunk with that someone powers the ball through the rim hard since that's how they all look these days.
