Nations League 24/25 | October Internationals (Matchday 3-4)

This is peak Löw years: half the Germany players call in sick in October and Holland are going to fail qualification.

This might be the worst half of football we've ever played.

Germany somehow letting us live so far.

Do the Dutch realize that this is pretty much our b team?

Don't think our A team is that much better. I suppose the upgrades would be Gross for Stiller, Musiala for Leweling and Havertz for Kleindienst.

B team would indicate we have weaker players in almost all positions.

Our record against Turkey was 8-3-3 before the match. Nice to be someone's bogey team.

Pitch is slowly freezing. Refs decided today if it was alright to play on. Grass is basically dying. Might be the last time we see a match on this pitch at this time of year.

Really impressed with Bellamy in these last 2 international breaks. Thought he'd be a car crash to be honest.

Wow the Turkey pen. Goal disallowed because Calhanoglu slipped and shot the ball into his leg and into the goal so it was an illegal goal.

Nagelsmann benches Wirtz during the EC obly to let him play every match in the fecking Nation's League for the full 90s until he's injured. Has already done more for Bayern as Germany's headcoach than he did as Munich's. If he's out for a longer period, that's any hope we had for defending the league title gone out the window.

VAR sends ref to the screen twice to give Turkey two penalties. Turkey saves a goal with the hand, VAR doesn't send the ref to the screen.

Belgium always shitting the bed against France is one of the funniest storylines in current international football. They even manage to make Kolo Muani look like a good player. They should just become a french region at this point.

Sucks that Nagelsmann starts our best player against a minnow in the Nation's League. For the next international break, we should just send the Dutch keeper instead of Wirtz and hope nobody notices

Was there on Friday, it was obvs freezing round the edges then (along with my feet) - great town and people despite the cold though!

Iceland - Turkiye has been a mad match, great watch. 3-2 now to Turkiye.

It feels so surreal seeing all of these names on the pitch. I mean Leweling, Burkardt, Schade doesn't even sound like they would be the starting front three for the u21.
Maybe one of the worst attacking lineups ever on paper.

It shows the sheer desperation with which the team held on to the lead against Holland's onslaught.
Malen could've ended you, but decided not to destroy your keeper by only using 5% of his power on that shot.
