Wenger: ‘We’ll replace (Cesc) internally. With Ramsey, Wilshere + new boys Chamberlain 18, Miyaichi, 18. We’re like the nursery of Europe’

‘I love players with stubble on chin (ie older) but we dont find them. Others have scouts all over world but come here for Cesc, Nasri’

Nursery of Europe?

So are the arsenals fans laughing now like they did when Tevez wanted to leave us for city?

My first attempt btw at copy and paste in photoshop
nasri.jpg

Manchester really looks a shithole.to live in from that picture.

Expected this to drag on to be honest.Wenger as to have something up his sleeve or maybe not.

So he will be replacing Nasri with an actual player than, although is that a hint that maybe it might not be an experienced player fans might hope for, but another young talent? Probably reading into it too much, but it would be great if he brought in some unknown 16-18 year old. Again.

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere before but it seems that Jack Wilshere has been ruled out of the Udinese and United games.

Who the hell will play in midfield at Old Trafford? Ramsey, Lansbury and...? Rosicky?

feck off City. It would be absolutely brilliant if they have signed Aguero, Silva and Nasri and still come up second (or third) best to Manchester United.

(yes their team is fecking scary going forward now)

Apologies, i didnt have time to add the sun in photoshop in it. It would of looked weird anyway. Manchester and the Sun in the same picture.....naaa, it just doesnt happen.

Looks a great neighbourhood as well. Pure architectural (is this a real word) bliss.

They've got a hard start to the season as it is but having all these players out due to suspensions/injuries/transfers is going to hit them hard.

Wenger defends Nasri sale

Arsene Wenger has defended his decision to sell Samir Nasri to Manchester City on the eve of Arsenal's crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Udinese.

The 24-year-old France international, who had just one year remaining on his present deal, has been allowed to join City for a fee of around £24million.

Had the playmaker played in the second leg qualifier against Serie A side Udinese, he would have become ineligible to play for City in the Champions League, thus jeopardising the deal.

And with Arsenal needing to win this game to progress into the group stages of the competition, Wenger felt it was better to field players who are totally focused on the cause.

"You cannot think about only one game in the season, and there was some logic in the decision and also some business interest," Wenger told Sky Sports News.

"Overall, you want players who are not playing thinking that they are leaving the next morning - it's not ideal.

"So you want players who are completely committed to the long term to defend our chances."

The sale of Nasri comes quickly on the heels of captain Cesc Fabregas' move to Barcelona which has left the Gunners without two of their marquee players.

Wenger now has just over a week in which to replace both players and has left many wondering why the Nasri deal was not concluded sooner.

But Wenger insists it was out of his hands and that he would have preferred for it to have been finalised earlier in the summer.

He added: "It's not naive but what you forget is, it doesn't depend only on us.

"We wanted to sort these cases out very early after the summer, but it wasn't possible. The pace is not only dictated by us unfortunately."

The tie is far from over.Udinesse were lucky not to equalize at the emirates.

Udinese actually should have won that game. But I reckon Arsenal will get the job done given they didn't concede an away goal.

Wenger: "Yes we have lost great players, but we have brought great players in."

"No, tomorrow's game is not critical."

Blimey...

he has lost the plot totally.

Wenger trying his best at damage limitation and putting on a brave face on.

Lose tomorrow and he's going to be under massive pressure.

I almost feel sorry for Wenger - almost. This is of his own making. Had he insisted on at least making some key purchases, even if they had to spend over the top, might have been able to at least keep Nasri.

Almost feel sorry for him because it must suck to have such important players sold at such a later juncture and now bringing in new players that can make a difference with a week left is going to be extremely difficult at best. What with other clubs also knowing how much money Arsenal have just got from the 2 sales on top of whatever transfer funds they should have for a club their size having not really spent that much - they'll be taken to the cleaners.

Only downside is now on Sunday the rest of the team might play with a point to prove - hope that's not case because they still have quality in their side to give us a good game.

My only problem with Arsenal falling to pieces is that it really opens the door for Liverpool to make the top 4. I hope they fail miserably on Sunday but make a recovery to make the top 4 eventually because I think Liverpool won't be poor this season.

"@JackWilshere: Good luck to my friend @Nanas08 (mr Nasri) learnt a lot from him. World class player! Will be missed!"Pffffff comeon Jack

I like this mentalist.

Telling Piers Morgan to feck off, calling Wilshere out for his posturing bullshit - this Frimbong may not be so bad.

Why then play him against Liverpool? Although he looked good on the ball he avoided any physical challenge like a plague.

From someone who's acknowledged as a genuine Arsenal ITK:

The Board win over Nasri. Called rank on Wenger and told him he had to sell.

Do you really need to be an ITK to realise that to be the case?

United should put a massive bid (30 Million) in for Wilshere. Turn his head with an offer of over 100k a week.

Wilshere, Cleverley, Anderson, and Pogba...

He did not have much of a choice, half the team was injured/suspended.
