Name four players you think we'll buy in the summer

Griezmann-adds goals and threat in behind he is ruthless in front of goal.

B Silva- his ability to beat men one on one is a must for us as it is something we sorely lack.

Having these two would get us into a title challenge. We would need a left back depending on Shaw and we definitely need a central midfielder but we could get by without either just now.

I think this team would hit over 70 goals and that would see a title challenge. If we get into the champions league we will definitely need another midfielder and possibly a left back as said.
 
This list will change frequently between now and summer and I don't think we're getting Greizmann so right now I'd love to see -

Instead of Aubameyang, I would prefer either Lukaku or Icardi. We are not going to buy two of Dortmunds stars. Instead of Michael, bring us another midfielder. We are going to play 63(+1) games this year, might be a game more or less next season.

Carrick struggled badly with pace in a 2 last night

Rooney is finished

Ibra doesn't look keen with a deal on the table

we had nothing on our right habd side last night

we've players who Jose isnt satisfied with and I think Januzaj and some of Jones, Smalling and Darmian are toast

we already lost Depay and Schneiderlein this season

CM (ideally a Kroos/Veratti Character)
a SS - ideally Dybala/Griezemann - if we qualify for CL
RW - Silva/Mahrez

would cost about 200-250 million that! a fantasy list but I trust Mourinho to get the next Dybala playing for a mid-level club.... Bailly has been superb and we barely heard of him

Dortmund don't usually sell too many players in one go. But if Jose doesn't rate Martial then they might be on for some kind of swap with Aubameyang and Martial. They won't sell Ousmane but for crazy money you never know as they'd still have Reus and Pulisic on the flanks. Lukaku seems to be Chelsea bound but still a chance there of that one with Mino being so close to Jose now. Would prefer Belotti to Icardi but both of them seem to be very settled in Italy and I don't see either of them leaving Italy this summer.

I don't think we're in for Hazard at all and spending crazy money on a keeper is not needed. A solid keeper will do for us, he doesn't have to be the best in the world.

Besides, it's election year and De Gea is not what the fans want.

Bale is a great player, but he is a victim of tactical setup this season and he's constantly injured which frustrates the fans (and probably the club). He can still be sold for a huge fee this summer so I really see it as a possibility.
 
I don't know about buying these players who've peaked at Madrid anymore. The hype, market value and wages are going to be through the roof for players who have more than likely already hit their peak and won't be happy moving anywhere from Madrid. I think we should be mostly be targeting players who look like they have the ability to become superstars while with us. Not signing huge names for the sake of it or without any idea how they'll fit into our team.

Edit - an injury free and motivated bale would be a great signing for any top pl team. He's done it in this league already. Robben would have been another great signing from them.

Swap Martial for Pogba in that one and shift Bale out wide and Pogba behind Rashford and that would be a more realistic front 4 if in the unlikely event we got Bale. Ronaldo today saying he wants Lewandowski in the summer. Would Real really prefer Isco out wide to Bale if they got Lewandowski for next season? Maybe

I'm not quite sold on Mbappe, but i could understand if we bought him as we have a pretty good track record of buying emerging players.

It would be interesting. Possibly Rashford moves to an inside forward position if Mbappe and Griezmann does arrive.

I can't see Bale leaving.

I think there is very little chance Chelsea would sell Hazard and he'd hardly be begging for the move. He loves it in London and they are close to winning the PL.

For United:

Griezmann is essential. Without him, I'd be surprised if we had a good summer.

Sanchez would be a perfect addition but unlikely.

Fabinho would be good.

I think we need four players - two have to be top draw attackers.

My opinion is I think real will get hazard this summer with Ronaldo moved to the #9 position
 
And that is why we need to buy another striker. Zlatan could be out injured beyond the end of the season. I've read some sites say that he could be out for 9 months. We'll have to depend on Rooney and since he's not had much game time, we may struggle. Rashford has found form at the right time but we can't just depend on him to play every game and score for us.

Ousmane Dembele (Better than Martial (could be his replacement), Prodigy, Balon D'or contender for the future)

Fabinho (Carrick replacement)
Manolas (Smalling and Jones are useless and like how Rojo is injured, we don't have a quality CB to partner Bailly)

Both are great, don't just say Fabinho because he plays for Monaco please.. genuinely curious as to who would be better for United
 
Whoever they are I think they need to be instant starters like last summers signings if we're to challenge at the top of the league. Bailly, Pogba and Mkhitaryan will all be better next season.

We need another summer like last year hopefully 4 new first teamers. Roughly...

Frightening for us?

Martial has been pretty awful this season.
Miki has been next to useless in the league. Though, he is prolific in Europe.
Bale would be a great addition, though he does seem injury prone.
Rashford will be 20 years old next season, so I wouldn't expect much from him, for at least 2 years. In any case, we won't win the league title with a 20 yr old leading the line.

All in all, if we play with that attack, as our first team, I'd expect around 4th-6th place, which would be an absolute disaster and should see Jose sacked.

We did last season. Maybe Mourinho this season hadn't the time to search the market as well, but that's what he wants. I can see a striker and secondary striker coming, no problem.
 
As good as Mbappé looks, we have both Rashford and Martial as similar players, also very good young prospects, so… I think we'll go for different type of forwards, a target and a secondary striker (Ibrahimović and Rooney's substitutes, really).

When people here talk about Danilo, they're referring to Porto's Danilo (#6) or Real Madrid's Danilo (right-back)? The former would be stupid for United.

Now that some time has gone...
With Zlatan out, I'll agree on 4 signings, but not sure if all will be "starters".
Striker for sure with Zlatan out (or creator on the left to move Martial and Rashford into primarily striker positions, though neither have showed themselves good enough to be main men in my opinion).

Some scramblings just for fun:
No clue who it would be, but going by Koemans re-statet hostility towards the club I think we might be in for Lukaku.
Lukaku as a player I do rate, good goal scorer and has a physique that clubs won't be able to handle, that said I'm unsure if Mourinho would be able to rotate Martial, Lukaku & Rashford for the striker position and get the most out of them all. I don't see any of Rashford or Martial as potential wingers, though out of them I think only Martial has the qualities to be a adequate rotational-option for the wing-position. Glad I'm not one to sort that out if it comes to it.

Asuming we'll buy Lukaku then, I'll think we will want a winger/creator from the left side, as our only options there at the moment are Martial, Young, Rashford & Lingard. Neither are of the quality I'd like for a first choice, so I'll hope for reinforcements there.
No clue on who it would be though.

Then a CB at the very least, one of Smalling/Jones has to go, and if not for that damn homegrown quota I'd like to see both leave for one experienced CB to come in. Whether we get a replacement for Valencia in this summer or replace Shaw I don't think is important for the 4th man as I think we'll go for a extra body in midfield, preferably a more defensively sound player. Again, I don't have anyone specific in mind.

Can probably put some names out just for fun, but they would be, in my eyes, unrealistic.
