Watched him since the hype started about Lacazette around 3years ago, soon realized Fekir was pulling the strings making him look the player he was. I just like to think how good could he make a Striker scoring 27 goals with little service look.

Lyon are going to be in the UCL anyway as long as they don't mess up badly in the last 2 games. And Lyon is his boyhood club. He's leaving for money and more chance of success, i'm guessing

I have seen some clips, and I understand the Caf loves a technical number 10, but is he really consistent enough? No way for me to know as i don't follow him, anyone know? I remember he had a big injury, but he has been consistently good after his return, or?
He's one of those players who I don't want us to to sign but that I really hope doesn't end up at our rivals either. He's very good but he's not what we need.
When we get linked with players like Fekir and Milinkovic-Savic all I see is people worrying about how they'd fit with Pogba, where all it makes me think at this juncture is that they'll repalce Pogba and he'll go to PSG.

I thought Chelseas draw with Huddersfield made sure of that?
Liverpool just have to make sure they don't lose at home to Brighton to be certain.

Sounds good. I'll take your word for it then. I'm a bit sceptic of the 10's as we have acquired for that position and failed at it for years now, but we certainly do lack that bit of edge and playmaking in the final third. Too many times we get static when attacking. If he can turn, run and pass then Lukaku would be a happy man and so would we. So he would be an upgrade on Lingard then i guess. We would still need a right-winger too.

For what it's worth, I mean he's a beast defensively for an attacker in the same way Tevez and prime Rooney were. I'm not saying he's Roy Keane or anything!

This was him vs the league champions in central midfield. He was, as expected, great there - including defensively.

You mean full back replacements, right? You want to go into another season with Young and Valencia? and then its these same people who complain we aren't good enough.
In the system we play, what would other full backs offer than Young and Tony? Have we lost games because defensively we aren't good enough? Isn't our defensive record not one of the best in the league? Yes we have the best GK, but that's like saying Liverpool are only doing well cause of Saiahs goals....that's their jobs.
I agree we aren't good enough but that's not cause of the defence or fullbacks and if the midfield and attack were as coherent as our defence , things might be better. For example, wouldn't it be great if we could say our attacking record was one of the best in the league?

Yeah but @JPRouve is bang on with full backs. A bit like having a car with flat wheels. You are not going to give your engine much of a show if your tires are flat. My point being (it’s early in the morning) the midfield need the full backs bombing forward nowadays as most teams flood the midfield space to give themselves space and also have the option of passing. We currently have neither and it allows teams to condense certain areas that we look to attack in. Mostly midfield and left wing as teams know Valencia won’t do much damage going forward and Mata has to keep cutting back.

Oh course he is, the two are incomparable because one used to play for us and wore crazy clothes (therefore rubbish) the other didn't.
Very good player no doubt, but there's no guarantees.
This guy will tear apart in the EPL. His close control and dribbling is so damn good and will be the best in EPL if he makes the switch. To me he is the perfect third midfield partner for Pogba and Matic/Herrera. The guy is a beast defensively and can be a hell of a CM ( also think CM will be his best suited position in the long term ).

How deep did he play? as a CM or CAM? I watched some of his compilations and in fact he reminds me M. Dembele with his dribbling and ball covering, with a bit of Sanchez in him too. Probably too good attackingly to be playing deeper but 4 tackles won is not a bad record for predominantly an attacking player
I think Savic is the one Mourinho really wants.
