Don't know about Keita but Fekir is. The best player in Lyon since probably 3 years and one of The best players in the league.
He can easily be compared to Tolisso, Martial or B. Silva, a very talented player who will be directly useful for any team. He just had that knees' issues so his development has been retarted.
I heard that Bayern and Atletico were really interested by him but he is definitely too expansive for Bayern.
I'm not sure MU is actually an example of good deals. Barca, City and RM have already a lot of players so that's not a surprise if they are not trying to have Fekir. Plus, his type of play is too particular, he is better in a 442 as n10 or 9,5. So he can't enter in any team.
But seems you don't see them play, I guess you will just have to wait before saying that the hype is ridiculous.

If he has failed the medical, or something untoward has been picked up by the Liverpool Football Club™ medical team, I can't see them giving the transfer the green light, especially as the £50m-ish fee is probably the vast majority of their remaining budget this summer. It would be a seismic gamble on Klopp's part and I don't imagine FSG are the type of board who'd sanction such a gamble, either.

Transfer medicals are basically risk evaluation, you don't really fail it, it's just that if there is a risk for example arthritis, the club depending on context will make a judgement call, it's not the actual medical that you fail but the club will have a positive or negative projection. Now, in France in Rugby, players have to go to the "Work doctor" with him, you can fail and he will reap your license but that's a different event.

The clubs set criteria so techincally there will be a pass or fail line or a certain "fail" red zones. But you are right in the fact that it's simply opinion based and the club makes a decision.
Which is why clubs can hesitate and think twice because it's a fluid notion. Club can and have signed injured players or players with recurring injuries, also they pass medicals every year when they comeback from holidays, even injured players. Also people remember that Rémy "failed" a medical with Liverpool.

I have no idea why he's done an interview for LFC TV. As I said he may still sign, it's up to Liverpool (I genuinley have no idea on that front), all I know is he did "fail" his medical. There were problems with it.

I do wonder. How does he fail a medical when hes been fit and playing for a couple of years but someone like Hargreaves or Falcao so shortly after his ACL surgery passed out medicals?

I think the keeper part is definitely going to happen, but it wouldn't shock me if Klopp/Liverpool are fooled by Lovren playing well enough for a spell and don't invest the necessary money in a CB this summer and it costs them like the keeper position ultimately did in the CL final.

Sometimes it's other things, that aren't always apparent like an ACL. Could be a cardiovascular thing that has otherwise gone unnoticed for example.

If he signs, Fekir, Keita and Firminho would be great business for Liverpool. Get a new keeper and they'll be serious contenders.
