Mykhaylo Mudryk | Reported - Failed doping test

Too soon to change my opinion but it seems I was wrong about him, looks like the real deal.

Look like a real deal. Suit the league right away too, unlike Sancho or Antony who might take a few more months/years to settle.

It’s annoying that I have to wait two whole weeks before I can watch him again after that little taster. I want more and I want it now.
Leandro Trossard 27m vs Mudryk 80m. I will take Mudryk any day. He is a generation talent.

Boom! there it is...what every fan loves to hear "Generation Talent" haha that term cracks me up everytime.

What a player, Arsenal should’ve paid the asking price!
I think if given time Potter will do a half decent job at Chelsea.
The problem being Chelsea fans from what I can gather, seem to want a bigger named manager.

Edu may regret his decision big time in the near future.

Really quick feet and seems to be really fast. Not 100% a given he will make it in the PL but he seems to have all the tools necessary to be a success, of course it also will depend on if his coach knows how to utilize him in the best way possible.

Yeah, it is his controll and slight of foot when on the ball that impressed me. It is all good being quick, but to be a very good to excellent wide player that is what is the differentiating factors are.

Personally, that is the first time I have seen anything from him, so I am not going to start saying whether he is going to be a top player or not, but for a cameo, that was impressive, especially in a team as disjointed as Chelsea.

Looks a great player. Not sure those two have the pace for the Premier League. Garnacho maybe more promising if we can keep him.

He is so fast!! Also it seems he definitely is not one of those who only has pace in his locker but there is brilliant technique and good reading of the game as well.

We will see what happens in time but I think if he stays motivated and hungry to improve Chelsea might have made an incredible deal here!

Mudryk is a cracking player, going to be great to watch. Re Antony. He is quoted as being clocked at 35.7 km/h which is absolutely rapid. We haven’t seen it yet and it’s likely just a confidence thing. Ida thought though with his speaking about having no fear due to being raised in a favella that he would be fearless but he’s only human like the rest of us.

I loved the one-on-one moment with Konate giving Mudryk the head start and saying go on, beat me down the wing. Then putting the burners on and leaving Mudryk on his arse.

Fast? That's not fast. Nunez, now that was fecking fast today (as a comparison from the same game)!!

The lad looked a natural. Clearly gonna be a very high quality player.

Watching his training regimen, the fact that he idolizes Ronaldo’s nutrition and fanatical approach to training … I’m hoping he can rub off on some other players.

With some players you can see in their introductions and early press interactions that they are just happy to be there.

Then there are guys like Mudryk that have that look in their eye that kinda says “this is taking up valuable training time, get on with it”

People are saying this was just a straight hijack, but Vivell and RB tried to buy Mudryk and scouted him a lot, but Mudryk only wanted a PL move. People forget that Vivell and others started in their positions less than a month ago.

Arsenals slowness opened the door, but Vivell and Potter and Winstanley got together and pushed for the hijack… which wasn’t easy because Boehly and others had their hearts set on Leao and a few other players.

Badiashile was another one where they trusted Vivell and the new technical department.

And the decisions are starting to look SO much better. If we can combine the improved structure with all that money AND patience with building something under Potter … the results could be so good.

Looked very good in his cameo today, glad Chelsea got him and not Arsenal

Yeah, looked well tasty. Thought his passing was thoughtful and crisp, not dissimilar to de Bruyne, even though he's a winger. Could be the first player in years who will justify his 80m+ price tag.

They're both left-wingers.
Not sure it matters as much for Mudryk. His two best attacks came from the right today.

Mudryk is SO good at getting behind it makes me wonder if both parties would reconsider moving Ziyech on. One of the Chelsea YouTubers pointed out Ziyech was purchased to compliment Werner’s pace. If that is true, I’d like to see what Ziyech and Mudryk could conjure.

On speed… I don’t remember Kinsey easily running off Mudryk. BUT several of my friends who are fans of other teams tried pointing out things Mudryk did bad today and it ended up they were talking about Gallagher …

Nunez may be fast … in a straight line.. but it doesn’t seem like he gets to that speed quickly. Kind of like when Rudiger was technically our fastest player. At top speeds though Mudryk, at 36.6 km/h in the CL, is faster than Darwin’s 36.5 fastest. The rumors of 36.8 in a particular game proved incorrect.
It's not as if they discovered him.
Discovered him? No. But Red Bull was in on him much earlier than major PL teams. And again, after finally getting into his position with us just recently, Vivell had to talk Clearlake into essentially dropping Leao interest to attack this deal. So they should get more credit than people may realize.

How long ago were Leipzig on the case? Mudryk has been quite an obvious talent for a while.

Pace like usain bolt
Passing like de bruyne
Dribbling like messi

I think messi’s goat status is over as quick as it started

I can’t comment as I’ve not seen anything of him yet, but the way you’re al talking about him, I’m expecting the full package here

He looks good and he seems to have no trouble going either way.....it pisses me right off!

The sort of player to scare the shit out of defenders, could be a masterstroke by their scouting team.
problem is the 100-200+ million they have wasted on dross just find one gem.

I would say he looks better than the 80 million we spunked on Antony, mudryk basically looks like what we expected Antony to be

I never heard about Leipzig but I know Leverkusen wanted him last season and he wanted to move there.

"I am a Shakhtar player, but if the club accept Bayer's offer, that would be great. I have decided for myself that this is the only club I want to move to," Mudryk told Ukrainian publication SportArena.

Wow didn't expect it would take just 35 mins for Mudryk to be confirmed the best player in the world

Notice the repetitiveness in that quote; essentially the same as the ones about Arsenal. The theme being they make the quote and wax positive when teams make interests official and/or are close to bids.

But my understanding was one of the factor giving Arsenal an edge earlier is that he and his team wanted a PL move, despite whatever else had been said.

But those are still a this year, RBs scouting system is really really thorough, and the familiarity goes back to at least 2021.

My point wasn’t to say TB “discovered him”. It was more to emphasize that it wasn’t like Vivell and his group saw Arsenal trying to sign Mudryk, had to ask “who is that guy, should we be on him?”

They were working at least 10 different deals right when Vivell and Winstanley hit the club, so they had to move the ownership off of targets they were fixated on like Leao, and turn the club to hijacking Mudryk VERY quickly. Vivell also had to know the player well enough to know that Potter HAD to call personally and impress the player. Potter isn’t even aware or involved with many of our targets, but that was different with Mudryk.

We are just navigating things, in general, much more smoothly now, and the benefits seem pretty evident.

He looks like he has something special about him, great little cameo.

obviously a lot of hyperbole going on, people are excited. But he could definitely be the best player WE have had since Hazard. And barring injury he could be better than Hazard, primarily because the work level is night and day.

I just can’t wait to see him on the fiend with Nkunku (fingers crossed).

If I had to make a list of the 5 or 6 fastest attacking ball carriers … they would both arguably make the list.

I hope Broja comes back healthy with a good recovery, because that is the type of situation that could really allow him to highlight his talent as well.

it’s kind of a strange one as i’m glad he’s in england as I get to watch him regularly, but it sucks he’s at a rival

He reminds me a lot of Kanchelskis though so I can’t help but like him.

Wingers with speed and flair are just what make football special IMO.

If we didn’t have our own in Rashford and Garnacho i’d be more angry at missing out.
