He did but in my opinion it's important to let them share their "research" that way you know what needs to be addressed and maybe help someone else understand that they are being bamboozled. Because as crazy as it may sound, there is a lot of people that are clueless about administrations, economics or international politics and they are easy targets for disinformation, I'm sure that you have seen it German politics.

The list that the poster gave earlier was very useful, it was total BS but these items are actually reported and reported badly.

The few threads regarding those topics here seem to attract mostly bad sports that are just interested in flinging shit at the wall and doing drive-by's rather than pretending that they want to debate the idea on its merits.

It’s always the same progression, from ‘just asking questions’ to ‘he/she/they (whatever in vogue rightwing persona) may have a good point’ to ‘you are all gullible sheeps/do your own research’ to ‘cry more libtards, Trump train!’.

There was nothing indicating that this poster had any interest in getting into the weeds of this list. As usual, few posters bit, he ignored them and immidiately returned once the conversation devolved into a more insulting tone.

That's fair enough. It can be very valuable, but it does take a lot more effort than posting it and will be completely wasted if a poster comes here with an obvious intention of making a martyr out of himself.

To me it's fine I don't mind it. When I saw the post, the only thing that interested me was to find out what these figures actually meant for my own self, when I realized that it was BS, I shared what I saw and kept looking around. At the end of the day unless I don't care about the topic, the effort to make my own research always serves me.

And their actions are a lot more linked to cultural rewritting than finances. From I have seen a lot of their actions including regarding USAID have to do with rejecting diversity and anything that they deem to be a threat to "traditional values", that's why by some incredible coincidence everything is justified by it being linked to DEI, feminiscim or China.

Also, yes. I mean, governments are allowed to reshape the government in their ideology, that's what they were elected for (even if I disagree with everything they do, and they're going against laws and processes). But yeah, this seems so far ideologically rather than financially motivated. Trump was anyway a huge spender in his first term, so claiming him as a small-government champion now seems rather premature.
