Murray again...

The one thing Murray's improved is his weight of shot-watch how often the ball is under the other player's feet/heavy into the body because Murray hits it so well.

Fair play to the lad, I didn't think he had it in him.

Murray seems to be the most consistent out of the Big 4 on hardcourts. That could be a load of bullshit though because i don't follow tennis that closely.

Considering he's yong and lernin I find it highly unlikely that he will not win a Grand Slam either this year or next. He beat Nadal today by guile, shot selection, stamina and sheer force of will. Nadal played very well. Murray played better. It's the first time he's beaten Federer and Nadal in the same competition. I hope it's the first of many.

I can see Murray winning a major grand slam this year, hopefully it will be Wimbledon :D

The only part of his game that isn't world class is his second serve. Every other aspect of his game is brilliant. He has all the tools and it seems he has the mental strengh it's just a matter of time now before he wins a major.

Considering the strengh of the mens game it's brilliant to have someone like Murray to support and to keep people interested in the sport. Personally i think even if you don't like Murray the person you cannot help but love his tennis, he is very entertaining to watch and his match today against Nadal was two great players playing world class tennis.

Murray has truely arrived now in my opinion and this should be his season. He keeps winning me money on bets but his odds are getting shit now. damnit.

I think the thread title is probably the most correct one, because his progression over this last while is phenomenal.

Ever since he got his ass served against Fed at the US Open he has become a man possessed to improve with every waking hour.

He was so gracious in defeat & only talking about the class that is Federer & how he now knew what heights he had to reach to win championships & grand slams. Murray is walking the walk & I'm backing him to win the Australian Open on current form & determination to succeed!

Fair play to him for his attitude, i'd say there are many young tennis players in the UK looking up to him & wanting to be him!

Cock-fighting is where its at Franky or if you want something a little more eloquent - bare-knuckle Rabbit scrapping

who's he playing in the final?

He's alright, looks better with his haircut.

Your stance is slightly softening I see Vijay! :)

Another decent win for the talented, and now British maestro.

Whether he can beat the two of them consecutively in a Grand Slam atmosphere is the question.

The Aussie Open will be interesting. It's Nadal's poorest surface. Federer is beatable nowadays. Murray often underperforms in grand slams. Djokovic isn't quite at the level of a year ago.

Sky Sports News just said Coral have him as favourite for the Aussie Open now, first time a British player has been favourite for a major.

When does the Aussie Open start?

Fair play to those who picked up on this a year ago, I didnt follow him that much but he is clearly making it a Top 4, oh the Brits.....

Unbelievable stuff from Murray just now. Have to say I really didn't think he had it in him. Hats off

I fancy him beating Nadal tonight.

Roddick should have beaten Nadal last night. Nadal is very lucky.

Federer just fell apart yesterday, his body language after the match was as if he was thinking "not only have I got Nadal to contend with, this Scotish fecker keeps beating me n'all." Something seemed to snap.

Federer really is struggling these days. It's as if he can't motivate himself or something. I think he is still the most naturally gifted player there is.

How often do you see Federer completely throw tactics out the window, and start running around almost every shot to play a forehand?

Murray has to take a lot of credit for rattling him like that. If he can transfer that form to the slams, he has every chance of winning one this year. I'd go as far as to say I'd be shocked if he hasn't gotten at least one by the end of next season.
