Moyes So Far!

He still has the support from the fans at OT. Just hear how much chanting for Moyes it was after the goals went in.

I really wanted Moyes to succeed, and I would be ok with not winning the league this season as long as we finished top four. But at this point, we're way too far behind the top teams in the league, and more worryingly we're playing shit football. Moyes has had the chance to turn it around, to prove that he is able to change things up and improve, but he hasn't been able. There are no signs that he is able to turn it around either. So, to those who still thinks we should stand by him as our manager: What reasons are there to not sack him? I honestly can't see any good reason not to at the moment.

Look at the tactics.

I don't know if the mindless crossing with no playing through the middle or the completion rate is worse. They're both awful.

I usually Gary Neville's opinion, but he's immediately saying today has nothing to do with the manager, because Fulham defended so bravely and because United had one million chances (i.e. crosses).

Garbage. It's the managers job to give the players instruction, and if his only instruction is to twat it into the box as hard as possible, then the onus is on the manager. The 46 crosses in the first half didn't work, so why persist with it? Moyes is hugely at fault.

He has turned into shit months ago. Spouts so much bullshit it's unreal

So we need a manager who can stand on the sideline and tell a 32 year old, multi title winning centre half and club captain how to smack a ball 70 yards up the field with 10 seconds of the game remaining.

In fact, lets make a management team up of all the players' mothers so they go to the sideline for a cuddle every 5 minutes rather than grow some balls.

Today was one of the rare times he could actually say we were unlucky. 75% of the ball, five times as many shots, ten times as many corners...I have no idea how we didn't win that one.

Doing nothing other than crossing the ball to the box is not 'unlucky.'

Well, when is his enlightening interview after the game? Can't wait to hear what he comes up with.

The thing is; do we want this man to spend £150m in the summer? He's spent a fair bit this year, about £70m on two players and added one of the most exciting kids we've had at the club for years and we seem to be getting worse.

What else would you expect against a team camped on the edge of their area

Maybe an attempt to play through the middle with technical payers like ROoney and Mata? God forbid Kagawa even gets a whiff of football. We have technical players capable of playing football through the middle. Moyes is just unwilling or more likely simply too inept as a manager to get his players playing that kind of football. Because, you know, that would take some more managerial work than just say "hey lads, lets cross a billion times today, and hope for the best".

If he does go, who will our caretaker be. It's not going to be Fergie .

Giggs and Phil? Bring Phelan back to work alongside?

Not at fault for the goals conceded today but his tactics are certainly holding us back in scoring goals.

He's not top tier. I can't see him developing that ruthless approach that a manager needs to be top tier. Sir Alex's last call as manager may be his biggest mistake ever.

It was like watching Arsenal trying to pass it through the middle with no plan B but worse.

We said we hadn't seen Moyes style of football implemented, well I think we just did... 80+ crosses, zero other ideas.

You have RVP, Rooney, Mata, Januzaj, in attacking talent available to him and we... cross it aimlessly in the box.

Fulham, who have an atrocious defensive record, decided that they could come to Old Trafford, let us have about 85 percent possession, sit in their box for ninety minutes, and not concede. They didn't even want the ball, they just kept giving it back to us. That was the tactical plan they devised after watching our tapes this season. And it nearly worked. That's how shit we are. The only variation we had to our play was when Fletcher crossed the ball in instead of Rafael.

His celebrations for the 2-1 were like he won the World Cup or something. Being ahead 2-1 vs Fulham should be the minimum and not the cause of such an explosion of joy. That was another that Moyes isn't psychologically ready for Man Utd.

An attempt to mix it up a bit and at least show something other than completely one-dimensional, predictable tactics of putting it out wide. Perhaps we wouldn't have incredible success through the middle, but crossing clearly doesn't do much for us either. Fulham are currently bottom of the table, so even with plenty of men camped in the box we should be able to break them down.

We did mix it up at times, but when a players finds himself out wide in space he isn't going to decline to cross, which is going to happen alot in a game thats so 1 sided

So, in terms of a % on the caf, how many United fans are anti Moyes?

I think today was the turning point for a lot of fans. I'm still in the Moyes camp but I am now closer to sitting on the fence now and wouldn't be upset/surprised to see him go

No, but but if the tactics and football wasn't so shit, that Vidic blunder would only have resulted in a consolation goal for Fulham. We shouldn't have even been hanging on to a 2-1 lead against the worst team in the league, a team that has also conceded the most. It's been happening all season ffs.

fecks sakes he's not alowed to celebrate any more? The crowd should have stayed comepletely silent and all i guess

After we lost to Stoke Moyes was pleased we hit the byline 8-9 times, so he should be delighted we done it 81 times today.

With so much of the ball we created so few clear cut chances. That says it all about our set up. Get it wide, pump it in the box. Big Sam's sides have more variation: He at least knew how to use flair players like Djorkaeff and Okotcha, our man just wants the likes of Januzaj and Mata to cross it constantly, dare they dribble inside...

Poor. No plan B, no ideas, poor.

Not if its rectified sooner rather than later. How anybody can defend that today is beyond me. What Vidic did or didn't do is secondary, that performance was an absolute and utter travesty. Stoke City play with more diversity than us, and Moyes is at fault for this. Clueless.
