Moyes So Far!

Have to admit before I post, I didn't watch the game live as I was working. I probably missed a tonne of anger inducing things like Tony doing his right footed mind games with the left back, Welbeck missing an open goal and Buttner playing Bony 45 yards onside but I will say this:

Everything I saw post-match pleased me massively. Moyes interview, Adnans interview, Fletcher looking like he's never been away. He's a proper United player, and he couldn't have come back at a better time. They know we have to be doing more. Coentrao in it's beginning to look like, Fletch match fit and starting, more key players back? Things might start looking up if we're not careful.

Don't think he can cut it here but Christ did I love his presser and his body language today....He was not happy at all despite the win.

"I've given every player a chance and a lot give it 100% everytime. Does who don't, I'll have to look at that!

Can't help but like the guy and I'm itching for him to do well no matter where he manages. He's a great guy and a good manager

Give him a chance here then, if you like him.

Well, to be fair, I just said I like him, respect him and I think he's a good manager and I want him to be a success as he is a great guy...I just don't think he's at a level to manage us but feck all are.

I've been positive with Moyes at times and I've said what I thought was negative and I still will.

I'm not exactly trying to behead the man :)

Yes but what if he grows into the role? I believe he will stay and will not be sacked, I reckon a good summer and some good players being bought next season, we will play a lot better and the team should look more like the way Moyes wants us to play.

Well, in his presser he said "I've given everyone a chance and the majority have given their best. Those who haven't, I'll have to look at them"

His body language after the match said a lot...And while I like him and always have and respected him, I'll still call for his head if there is no top 4

I noticed in the 2nd half we were pressing Swansea with five players higher up the pitch. That is something we should do in our matches. Hope Moyes can build on from this.

What if by the end of the season the style of play improves and there are positive signs but we only make 5th?

Always wonder why we are a club that does not press as a team higher up. Often we will see one player close down and the ball will be played away and the United player would turn and have that look of "where is my support?" .

When Moyes was chosen and having heard about the fitness he imposes on his teams that we would be doing a lot more pressing as a unit throughout games. If he can at the very least get us pressing as a unit that will be a great start.

If there is a plan in place on the pitch, I can live with that. I can live with years without a trophy so long as the manager is implementing his style and game plan in the long run with players he wants....

But feck me, some of the football this year has been awful!! No one can deny that. It's soul destroying and hard work watching it at times

I understand it's not "his" squad or players but Jesus, there is no excuse for how we've played at times this year...White Hart Lane was a disgrace

well i did say if there was improvement in play and style

He's got strong opinions and doesn't come across well but those points don't mean he's wrong about our injury problems. We all know Van Persie is delicate and needs to manage his body, I doubt forcing him to over train has helped him to continue avoiding the injuries of the past. Something RVP had done well over the previous 3 years of his career.
Nope. Robin himself has said that his injury record is due to playing style and pure bad luck, rather than having a delicate body.

So that's 3 defeats in less than a week. Has it ever happened before in the club's long history?

I know this is redundant, but from what I can see, it was the run-in in 1991/92.

Apr20th Notts Forest 1-2
Apr22nd West Ham 0-1
Apr26th Liverpool 1-2

I'm not going back further.

"How big a win is this?"

Moyes: "Same size as any other, when all you can get is three points for it."

Very good

That is how a Man Utd manager speaks. ;)

If we fire Moyes, it's because he deserves it for purely "performance not up to standard"

City sacking mancini after finishing 2nd is classless

Ah, bullshite. If you're using something like "performance not up to standard", why could City not have used the same criteria to sack a manager whose champion team finished second after a season of very inept performances?

He's at the Cagliari vs Juve game, could be scouting one of : Davide Astori, Vidal or Marchisio if he comes off the bench. Oh and Pogba, because we are showing interest in him too..

Cant be Vidal as there's no way Juve would sell him. Same with Pogba. Has to be one of the other 2 if not someone else.

Several papers are going with this Pogba rumour. It's a very strange rumour when you think about it. 1) It would be sensational indeed if he was keen on moving back. 2) He has been a huge success and there is no reason why Juve would be interested in selling him. 3) The first two are so obvious that it would be perfectly bizarre if we considered such a move.

Yeah, camera just showed him, he is definitely at the game.

Wasn't there something about Juve being resigned to losing him soon? Not that I think we have a chance of getting him.

If there is something we've learned from the summer its that Moysie likes a challenge. The more ludicrous and far fetched the target, the more Moyes loves to bid.

Pinilla or Daniele Conti :D I'm joking

He was there at 100% for Astori, I don't rate him highly.

Great to see Moyes earning his corn but.......not a sniff of a hope that Juve would sell Pogba or Vidal for any money in January as if they were willing to sell either of the for 50 or 60 million quid then Real and PSG would be willing to pay that amount in a heartbeat

I reckon the likeliest explanation is that we're after Marchisio. Or not a Juve player at all. Could be that CB for all we know. I would not be surprised if Moyesie is thinking about bringing in someone. In fact, it would be extremely odd if he wasn't considering his options. Rio is finished and the last I heard Vidic's agent had ruled out a new contract.

'During a series of meetings with his scouting staff at Carrington last week, the United boss challenged them to find more players like Januzaj. They were despatched to games across Europe on Sunday but there is a specific brief to focus on the cheaper, untapped markets in eastern countries like Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia.'
