Moyes So Far!

Hernandez is not a player you should be bringing on away from home, unless we are battering a side and need a goal.

Coming on in a game like today, essentially reduced us to 10 men.

Don't play Kagawa anywhere else other than in the number 10 role.

I'm sick of the bloke, to be honest. It's one step forwards and two steps back every week.

Instead of replacing Cleverley with Anderson, who would at least attempt to play some through balls into Rooney and Kagawa, he laughably reverted into a 442 and gave Evans and Vidic the task of pumping it long and wide to Valencia all game. We stopped trying to pass the ball after 35 minutes and the change resulted in the lack of any chances whatsoever. Yes, we need a creative midfielder, but it's not an excuse.

I'm one of Moyes' biggest fans but if we don't finish top four with this squad then he shouldn't be in the job next season.

Chance creation in the league concerns me. One was from a pen and the other was set up by Walker today.

Why are we so tame in the league? Why do we play with such low intensity? It makes no sense.

Same, but he aint going anywhere, so we HAVE to stick with him!!

I think we're improving as a team but our attacking play even in our better games is poor, you can tell we're not moving in a specific direction in that regard, certainly i don't see any attempts at playing a good brand of football.

Not helped by being on the receiving end of the Michael Carrick injury we've feared for about 4 years.

But, as others have said, we're never really taking the game to teams except when we're allowed time and space to build slowly from the back.

We're not forcing teams onto the back foot, and we're certainly not doing enough when we're drawing to gain those extra two points.

Swansea City play possession football with Leon Britton, De Guzman and Jonjo Shelvey. I will keep repeating this until it settles in. The players are not the biggest problem. Championship winning players lie in 8th place for the first time ever and it's all down to their lack of ability. Laughable.

You blame Cleverley of not playing balls to Rooney/Kagawa and expect Anderson to do the same? Where exactly have you been for the last 4-5 years? All Anderson ever tries is hoofing the ball up again and again, which inevidently leads to nothing.

Some people are horrible to tolerate. Look at the table ffs. 2 points separating 2nd-8th place and people are going as if we are in the bottom half of the table. Jesus.

Got to be braver and more proactive with his subs. We're waiting for the opposition to do something before we react to it. We definitely took too long today to turn up the pressure and find a winning goal. Welbeck and Kagawa weren't making the difference, while Valencia was gradually becoming ineffective. Throwing the kitchen sink was Fergie's policy and it worked out pretty well for him. Moyes should learn to gamble more.

A draw at WHL is not a bad result. It's dropping 7 fecking points to Southampton, WBA and Cardiff that made today a must win.

It's our form and negativity against supposed lesser teams that really worries me.

Not getting in the top four is a real possibility this season.

I really think our attack has suffered alot since Rafael's injury, yet he plays Welbeck even though like Rafael he didn't have any match fitness.

I don't know anymore, Moyes shouldn't be exempt from criticism and I feel like I cant defend his line up and substitutions anymore because frankly I don't understand them.

The way we approached our game the last 20 or so minutes really dissapointed me. Wanted us to go for the win rather than let them put pressure on us.

Got an easy run of games coming up, things will look different by the new year. Hopefully we'll make a midfield signing and then kick on.

What's your point? Anderson has bad games, but he does pass the ball forwards and actually attempt to get the ball into our forwards. He has done this successfully on various occasions. He did it a fair bit last season.

I'm discussing Moyes in his thread, not the league table. He's an inherently negative manager and I found his tactics and substitutions strange. Nobody in midfield to pass it into the forwards - I actually think Fellaini is underrated in this respect - and a complete abandonment of a formation into one that hasn't witnessed good football all season.

Last time we said that, we lost at home to WBA.

Moyes is fine, we're just not playing incredible football. Except we did in midweek.

Imagine if we finished 5th and won the CL, with Liverpool finishing 4th. That's not what I want, but it would be funny.

We are playing against two teams sitting above us in the table. We already had our easy games and dropped points to West Brom, Southampton and Cardiff. Regarding the midfield signing, we already signed some bloke who cost £27m, and he can't get in the team ahead of Tom fecking Cleverley.

Things are looking good then, eh?

We've lost the league.

Moyes needs to get into the top four, else he has to go.

The overall performance of the team playing shite football, him signing a nothing player for big money and poor results makes a top four finish an absolute minimum if he's to stay here.

Everton and Newcastle will not be easy. Thankfully we have them at home which is a bonus but they will be hard games which we have to win.

Could have been more proactive with his subs today. I thought Welbeck was poor and probably should have came off for Nani earlier on, then moved to the front 4 that scored 5 midweek.

I actually thought we played with purpose and looked well organised, moving the ball about nicely. For some reason when we equalised everything went a bit crap. Happy with us after the game and a point at WHL is a good result.

Yeah, because the league is always won by December..

Honestly, can you see us get back into it?

With a manager that prefers playing it safe to secure a draw, even when we're 7 points off the pace, to going for the win, we're not going to make up much ground.

Worried that the tactics and approach look exactly the same week in week out. When something isn't working we should be looking to tweak/change it. Somehow, it remains the same.

The worse thing is we aren't keeping any clean sheets. That's 4 goals conceded in the last 2 matches. Unacceptable form when we're talking about winning the title.

A point at WHL would be a good result if Spurs were any good, or if we didn't absolutely need to win due to Moyes's defensive approach having cost us about 8 points so far this season.

We can't afford to not going for wins anymore. It's not an option. We need to go for the jugular in every match, because we need three pointers, not draws.

That's Moyes's own doing, but it's the reality.

Who knows. Most of the contenders have been inconsistent this season bar Arsenal, so a decent run of victories could see us closing the gap.

I didn't see his substations as negative, if he had wanted to close shop at 2-2 surely he would have brought Fellaini on for Welbeck, rather then Hernandez?

Where you watching the match? changed to 442 early to equalise - subbed on strikers and wingers.. that wasn't playing it safe you Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime. You're just bashing moyes for no reason.

It's Moyes' insistence on using fecking crosses. Hoof the ball out wide to Valencia, Valencia runs and fails to put a cross in, rinse and repeat. Absolutely no creativity in the middle at all. Even DDG has been instructed to hoof the ball up the field.

We had an 'easy' run of games just there recently. We really needed maximum points from them all which we didn't get. In fact we got beat at home by West Brom.

We won't win the league, and we might not even make the top 4.

To be fair it was much the same under Fergie. Except we kept it tight in the middle when Fergie was around. Nowadays almost any other midfield walks right through us.

Winning the league with Moyes in charge this season is out of question IMO, we're about the 5th best team at the very best. Even a top four finish will be a struggle.

Smalling ahead of Fabio/Rafael. Welbeck and Valencia ahead of Nani/Januzaj.

Cleverley ahead of Anderson/Giggs.

And the general pattern of this season. We tried to close out matches vs Southampton and Cardiff, instead of killing them. That's four points right there. We played for the draw when Chelsea bent over for us at OT. Two more points. The list goes on.

And our style of play is always on the safe side. We never put teams under the kosh anymore. Under Fergie you'd see us absolutely maul a team like Spurs if we needed the points. We would put siege to their box and at least go for it.
