So if we sell him, we're back to running Fellaini or even Schweinsteiger at DM if Carrick picks up a knock? I really don't understand the motivation to move him in January let alone not giving him a lick of playing time yet. Banking on Carrick to remain healthy while playing twice a week is a giant risk.
Even if he stays that would be the case. He's below both in the pecking order.

It has nothing to do with the thread whatsoever but your username as always reminded me Inzaghi.

Part of me would love to give him a run of games alongside Herrera and Pogba as the defensive midfielder that plugs the gaps.

Sadly, I knew the moment we conceded that equaliser against Arsenal that it was the final nail in the coffin for his United career.

We best had not miss out on signing him. I think he would be great next to Gueye and give us a real platform to build around that partnership. Lacking in creativity but would give us a real footing in every game. Similar to Kante and Matic in that regard.
quite right

I would be sad to see him go. I thought he would be one of them players who would thrive under Mourinho but he clearly is not in his plans so best thing to do would be to sell I guess.

If this transfer happens I think he will be great for West Brom.

It's actually a reference to Andy Cole. Though obviously not a very good one.

That's a good reference, I loved that player.:)

But on topic you are right, Schneiderlin has no future with United, he is behind Fellaini who is himself not close to the first choices.

I'm in the minority who has been nowhere near as disappointed with him as the rest of the forum it seems. Many games I've seen and felt he played well, only to read the caf and see that he apparently didn't.

I think he could be a very good signing for Everton.

But then again,I thought he would be a very good signing for us under Van Gaal. Then after he had left,I thought Mourinho would revitalise him and he would become a crucial first team player. Very wrong on both counts.

I liked him at S'ton I thought he could be a real barricade for us, it's strange both Wanyama and Schneiderlin were good at Southampton yet only one has gone on to repeat their showing.

He's offfered nothing while he's been here, just played ultra safe it feels like, i'm sure a good manager in the right system could get a lot more out of him again.
I think it's more like the case of playing for a big club.

I still had hope for him during LVG time, as I think there were games he did very well. However, his showing under Mourinho was plain terrible as if he doesn't care to fight.

Jones and Rojo have had worse games for us and have shown that sometimes all you need is another chance.

Had a Medical at Everton yesterday...

Lad I know, his mate has a knee op yesterday and Schneiderlin was there with the Everton medical team...

If he's having a medical at Everton, it would be on some form of outlet.

Just going off what I was told...and I'd expect my mate not to fib about this, he said his mate wasn't massively a fan of any particular team, so wouldn't bullshit about it either...

Tony Pullis said that WBA made a 13M£ offer for him ?

French international, Vice European Champion, still in his prime years. 13M£ ?

We know that we don't sell well players, but 13M£ is not a fair price

If we don't get at least 30 million for them 2 it's a disgrace. We sell players on the cheap way to easily .
You haven't been following us much I take it. We're like Real Madrid, only we sell total garbage and for a fraction of the price (Ronaldo being the only exception ).

Even profile transfers are a disgrace. Beckham for like £16m. ..They earned that on freaking stickers they sold ffs.

Players like Memphis and Schneiderlin warrants maximum £5m a piece + some goodies from the buyers fan shop.

On the plus side for us is that our sold goods hardly ever make much of an impact.

Tony Pulis loves buying from us, does he have a loyalty plan? Buy 9 get the 10th free?

13m is a joke in this market, should double that at least.

We shouldn't be selling for this kind of price. An injury to Herrera and we might need him. I assume we aren't signing any midfielders this window, so might as well keep him if they're gonna try to low ball us like this.

I don't think you could have picked a worse example than that one.

Still don't want him to go.

He'll be an absolute revelation for whoever he signs for. Mark my words, a year from now he'll be rated as one of the best DM's in the league and a £30m+ rated player

That said, I completely trust Mourinho and I'm sure he'll have a brilliant DM lined up for the Summer

Clubs are obviously going to be bidding cheap considering he can't even make our bench most of the time. They know we'd be glad to get him off the wage bill and he probably wants to leave too.

I hope we can get some decent money back. United need to improve negotiating skills on players leaving. Knowing us we'll let him go for £6 Million.

He was one of the best in the league when we signed him. He just doesn't have the mentality to play for a top club. Everton will be about right for him.

Seems almost all LvG players are not the right fit for Mourinho.
Could even argue that the only one Mourinho is proper hot on is the one who was very much speculated to be a club signing that van Gaal just auhorised (Herrera).

I think Mourinho rates Blind too.

What a waste, was one of the best midfielders in the league before coming here, hes never been fancied by the managers or hasn't adapted.

I think he can still be a very good player for us, just needs the games like Herrera. Either way if he does go, West Brom should be told to up their offer or go feck themselves.

In this case the Caf opinion appears to chime with the opinion of his current and previous managers. He never stepped out of his shell and has no-one else to blame for that but himself. Not sad to see him go at all. Even Cleverley played with more courage.

It doesn't say we've accepted the £13m...

I wouldn't be surprised if it rises a bit by the time he signs for whoever.

Also, a couple of other clubs appear to be interested so that should help push the price up somewhat.

A lot of people were happy that we signed him. When the transfer new of his got cold in the middle of it, people were saying we usually don't do transfer that makes sense for us etc.

His passing/distribution was pretty crap even if we played him as a cdm for us. He had a nice run of good form in a period in EPL for us.

But that was it and he almost always was shit in most of our european games last season. Many posters were pointing out how it seemed like he was out of depth for that kind of level.

It seems like that's the case now.

If we can get around 15m would be a good price for us I suppose. We need to lower our wage bill as well for new comers.
