I think Blind is better midfielder than leftback but he started more times in midfield so he should be counted as midfielder, it's a big shame for Andreas if we sign Schneiderlin, he would play only in cup games.. it's not overkill with more cup games and injuries but it's not few. We should be excited though!
 
There is a very good chance of a double swoop announcement tomorrow then.

Absolutely, we should be ecstatic right now. If you also factor in Carrick and Schweinsteiger's age and injury issues, we'll have to rotate the pair of them accordingly. Honestly, I think everyone will get their fair share of game time and Pereira will still feature. Perhaps it will be Fellaini who misses out the most, but honestly I wouldn't be too bothered. He's a squad player at best.

Even Schweinsteiger hasn't really sunk in and it seems like an eternity ago that we were tracking Darmian's plane.
