You lot seem to underestimate how much is left in the kitty from last season. Bear in mind that GH had been given over £30m to spend BEFORE we qualified for the Champions League last season.
Since then he has spent:
4m Riise
9m Kirkland (6m down payment)
4.5m Dudek
3m Pongolle
3m Le Tallec
3m Baros
1m Xavier
27.5m
And recouped:
4m Ziege
4m Westerveld
13m Fowler
(and smaller amounts for reserves/youth players sold)

So that means he's about 5.5m down on this season. So take that away from the £30m+ and you have approx £25m (for the sake of argument) add that to the amount of money he's been cleared to receive at the end of this season (approx £25-30m dependant on progression in/winning the league and CL) and you have upwards of £50m, then add in the value of those to be sold, I think we'll sell at least Redknapp, Diomede, Nielsen, McAllister and possibly Litmanen....

Redknapp - out of contract
Diomede - Has played feck all football for 2-3 years (out of contract?) and has been injured for most of the time. Who's gonna pay for him?
Nielsen - you will get feck all for
McAllister - you will get feck all for
Litmanen - posiible a couple of millions, but I won't be surprised if he get a free transfer, seeing as you paid nowt for him
You will no doubt have 20-25 million to spend in the summer, but there is no way you will have 40-50 million to spend. You overspent a few years ago, basically gambled on a now or never scenario, and parts of this spending was covered by loans. Add to that your massive wage bill that you have.
i don't think we will get much for redknapp or macca cos they are both out of contract but the figures do seem to make sense

Murphy was not booed off by the whole of Anfield, just a very small minority that, as i said, were criticised by the rest of us. As for Veron coming in for a 'bit' of stick, i think you should take a closer look at some of the threads, and in particular the 4 letter expletives used to describe him.
Nextly, Keane better than Gerrard ?!? Dont make me laugh. Stevie is a better passer, striker,header and tackler than Keane is. Dont get me wrong, Keane is a good player, but Gerrard is better.
I could name more players that are better than Veron, but i'm sure you would debate them all. However you cannot deny that Veron has had a poor season, mainly due to the fact that he and Keane cannot play in the same team.
I never labelled Veron as a poor player, i described his performance this season as poor. I'm just arguing the case for Stevie. To describe him as another Dennis Wise is ludicrous.
