He will get his big moves like Paqueta if he plays well. A release clause will make it smooth as well.
It doesn't mean McTominay is dead in the water. His role still hasn't been filled, either.
West Ham with a midfield depth that has them contending 8th-10th on paper is no bad thing.
If EtH likes players who are versatile like Pavard, Kudus seems to completely fit the bill for our needs. He's a damn good midfielder as well as winger. 40m is a respectable figure to pay Ajax for him.
Depth is a priority of every team in the league. Most aren't afforded that privilege, which is why they absolutely tank if they get one or two injuries to key players. Fortifying an area of your team is as old as 5 subs being introduced to the squad game.
I'm sure depth is a priority for a club like West Ham who'll barely play 50 games in a season, rather than strengthening other parts of the starting XI.
McTominay is a Moyes player all day. I don't think they're done with him.

Both can be true. I suspect they'll be back in for him at the closing of the window more expectant of us accepting their offer if nobody else comes in for the player. It's not only big clubs that can practice brinksmanship.Clearly so are Alvarez, JWP and Kudus.

It'll be revealed in time. Besides, Moyes loves a 4-5-1, backs to the wall against bigger sides and having options to chose from on a game-by-game basis that keeps the team fresh and tactically flexible is not something Moyes will turn his nose up at.I just can't see it. I don't think they can afford to spend so much on what is practically a squad player at that point.

If West Ham want to become a solid top half team with genuine aspirations of being a fixture in European competition, they will fortify and not rest on the laurels of fewer players not being injured or fatiguing. On top of that, I'll maintain McTominay is a real Moyes player.
Moyes is a creature of habit - trace back to his best times at Everton; there'll be times when JWP is wider and someone is inside of him, preferably a powerful runner. His midfield 3, if he gets the signings they're linked with, will probably be Alvarez, JWP and Kudus. Then that leaves Downes (may get loaned), Soucek and Fornals.
I think they were interested in McTominay when they needed a Rice replacement, but they've since got him in Alvarez.
That's the whole idea to have a DOF. Of course DOF needs to work with the manager (it is really just a head coach nowadays) to identify the targets for the team.Looks like Moyes is being overruled on transfers, and to West Ham’s credit it seems like a better plan. I’m a big fan of Kudus, think he’ll be a quality signing.
This is a good shout. Although obviously it makes too much sense for us to do. Would give us a way of making Antony a bench option too as he's pretty good off the right.I think we go for him now Greenwood is gone. Versatile, can play RW, CF and CM, all our problem positions, and it looks like his West Ham move is off. Speculating here but potentially we’ve had a word in his ear telling him to wait for us?
What happened to him and Brighton? I didn’t even know he’s had a West Ham move off as well.
Him or Felix would be nice considering they’ve roughly got the same tools so to speak.

He asked for a release clause in his Brighton deal. The westham deal I believe depended on Paqueta going to Man City.
He’s very different to Amad apart from being left footed and playing a similar position. Amad is all technique and does nothing to help solve the problem of us being bullied every away game we play. This lads a lot more physical.Too similar to Amad- makes zero sense

Going to west ham apparently. What a travesty for the potential of seeing what could have been at Brighton, could have been loads of fun. No idea why he is picking West Ham over Brighton when Brighton had an agreement. Probably money id guess. Shame.
Fair.... But also I think he's far more likely to flop now. He needs like a free 8 type of role, at West ham he'll probably get pushed to the right to compete with Bowen and not do all that well. He wanted a release clause but he's also just unlikely to get to the point where he'd get that interest now that he's going to west ham. At Brighton he'd be far more likely to succeed. Though I guess managers change so he can hope for that. They were bickering over a release clause. Kudus wanted one. Brighton didn’t. I’d say this was a good play by Kudus.
I'd have loved to have signed him but not instead of Mount, but as an eventual Bruno successor (not there yet of course). He has the press resistant ball carrying that Bruno lacks but we really need. Also is lovely to watch.Im telling you boys. This guy goes to West Ham, in 3 months we will be asking why did ETH not sign him over Mount.
Deal with West Ham is long in the tooth but yes the Brighton one reportedly fell through because they wouldn't include a release clause.

Rice got his big money move to Arsenal and Paqueta if not for his betting investigation would have moved to City as well. I don't think it will have any impact if the player is good. Kudus is more like an attacking midfielder, not a winger. A release clause similar to Haaland is a very good idea for all the young players.Fair.... But also I think he's far more likely to flop now. Not sure why Mount is brought into it, we could always have signed both.

Yes only if there is a release clause in place, but that doesn't fit Brighton's business model. He will be fine in West Ham.Felt Brighton was the best move for him but fair play to West Ham, good signing for them.
I don't think so. Not the same player, but there are more similarities than differences.
Kudus has played all over for Ajax.
