MLB 2024

That fifth inning was wild. Horrible mistakes from Yankees defence. I don’t like the Yankees but Cole getting the two outs with his back against the wall was exciting, and there was a total brain fart at first base.

It looked like Judge was getting into a batting rhythm which the Yankees desperately need but he made a huge error

5 unearned runs in one inning. Meaning Cole’s stats are actually outstanding for the game. Another meltdown happening. Unreal god dammed real

This is horrible. Sports talk in the morning here in NY is going to be rough.

I felt bad for him. Left it all out there and his defence let him down. I guess on the first base one he should keep running too, right? I’m no expert. Though neither of them came off looking great. Must have been physically and mentally exhausted.

Dodgers are going to be even scarier next season while the Yankees will likely lose Soto.

As the son of man who was forced to move to allow Dodger Stadium to built and who grew up 10 minutes from the stadium and went to hundreds of games as a kid, I’m in heaven right now. All those years we came up short, here we are now, world champions.

I'm just glad my Yankee stance passed the litmus test. I consider myself an enthusiast of theirs, because when they are winning, they are compelling, but their is losing intrigues me. I was worried I was becoming a fan of theirs.

I went to sleep with the Yanks 4-0 up thinking maybe there was some hope…..

Dodgers deserved it, quite comfortably.

You literally won it 4 years ago, but hey, everyone loves the plucky underdog with the small market budget and home grown stars.

MLB really needed this WS matchup after last year (financially). Congrats to the Dodgers, and I hope next year some small-market teams still keep going deep in the postseason.

Sure, but in the minds of many the 2020 World Series has an asterisk on it. This one...no asterisk.

There's a video out there showing a Dodgers fan trying to light/do something with fireworks and blows up in his face and hands. I won't post in here for obvious reasons but it's an easy find on the interwebz.

And people say that fans from LA have no passion
I made a comment on an Instagram post about our NY Halloween parade and they're all coming for me. I made the comment "NY knows how to do Halloween" and I'm getting replies like "Too bad they don't know how to play baseball". I have no comeback for that.

Your dog can play baseball? That’s pretty badass!

:)

I want to be on your side but they are correct.

More world series titles and appearances than any other city.

What’s true?

I’m saying that the counter she’s going to get from people is that the vast majority (20) of the Yankees 27 World Series wins came before 1962.
That NY has more world series appearances and titles than any other city even if you don't count anything before 1970, 1980 or 1990.
