MLB 2023

Eovaldi exited early and the bullpen has held up so far tonight, probably because an often starter, Perez, subbed in... but now in the 7th... Rangers fans be like...

Anyone know why the Red Sox have been wearing cowardly yellow tops for the series v. Baltimore?

The yellow, Red Sox jerseys paired with periwinkle blue caps were worn on the field in 2021 as part of the MLB's “City Connect” program, the jerseys capture the color scheme of the Boston Marathon, which is held annually on Patriots’ Day in the city.

Think I knew that but couldn’t recall it.

At least Boston rallied today & avoided the sweep.

Yankees officially out the race (not they were in one), I really hope this kicks them up the arse to be serious about building something this off season. Dominguez getting injured was like the cherry on top of this turd of a season.

Cashman last chance saloon, has to be, hope he doesn’t go all in on dumb choices. The scouting trip to Japan fills me with some hope.

I only follow from very far but gutted Buxton is apparently never getting able again. So far gone some Twins fans wish he'd stop playing and not carry debilitating knee pain all his life after that. At the very least should perhaps sit an entire season out.
Twins limping with Correa to a division title and possibly avoiding Yankees is good though.

Big win by the Rays. Now only one game back of Orioles, still have three more left in Baltimore.

Just don't have a killer's mentality in big games. Took the first two games of the series, then shit the bed for the last two.

Need some massive help now to get the best record in the AL. Do-able, but not probable.

If quoted figures are correct, this will be the second most expensive ballpark behind Yankee Stadium.

There went the Ohtani $$$.

Soo.... like.... another brand new baseball stadium in Florida that no fans will go to?

And continue to alienate a significant portion of the fanbase who will refuse to deal with crap traffic heading into St Pete from Tampa and Sarasota. Yeah, there will be the initial draw of the new stadium but figure within a couple years it will be right back to small attendance figures.

I wanted the Fair Grounds or Ybor location, which also would have made for a potential Orlando fanbase pull if right off I-4 (Fair Grounds).

Same. Fairgrounds would have been my first choice, Ybor second.

It's just so near sighted by the organization.

Gotta say, it's going to be in a poor location just like the Trop, but, damn, it's going to be one hell of a stadium / revitalized area.

The Orioles are relentless.

They are so young at key positions, they don't even know they are supposed to suck.

If they keep the youngsters in place & they continue to mature, their window of potential success will be significant.

Fantastic seeing the Houston Cheaters getting swept. Be great for the sport if they somehow missed the playoffs.

Hoping the Rangers tcb against the Angels, keep a lead in the division, while the Mariners do well against Houston. Then I wouldn't mind Seattle taking some games in the series finale and possibly keeping Houston out.
