Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

Him and Bellis already decided not to sign the scholarships. Many others still haven't decided so maybe we can poach McAtee or Robertson back somehow. Ohio is good but don't really needed since we're already packed with attacking players in that group.

Sounds like Willock will go out today. I have a hunch Dearnley might move on as well.

McAtee is that player which Ducker wrote about in his article right? The Giggs situation he put down as?

Arsenal are loaning their best u18 prospects to Germany, maybe we should do the same.

If I remember correctly his dad moved him to City because we didn't sign his brother or something along those lines.

Ro Shaun Williams leaves for 150K while on the blue side they sell for Rabbi Matondo for 10 mill. Obviously different players but we seem to be getting pennies compared to the likes of Chelsea/ City.

Anyone know if we ended up signing that Noam Emeran kid or was it just media noise?

After that loan window looks like there're many rooms for the U18s to move up. U23s squad should be something like:

Kovar/Woolston
Tanner/Laird - Warren/Laird - Ercolani/O'Connor - O'Connor/Williams
Garner/Levitt - Barlow/Traore - Gomes/Buffonge
Chong/Mellor - Burkart/Greenwood - Bohui/Buffonge

Given the look of it Laird/Williams, Greenwood and one of Levitt/Traore should be promoted permanently, which will give ways for Devine, McGhee and McCann to break into the U18s XI and the likes of Helm, Bejger, Stanley, Neville etc some U18s game times.

"In mu" they say that pinyaev's internship is the best in the last 15 years "

In the coming years, a young Russian star may appear in England. Two years ago, young Sergei Pinaev, during a tournament in Spain, was noticed by Scouts "Manchester United" and offered him a week-long internship. in March last year, the 13-year-old footballer flew to England for the first time, where in the control match with Bari he immediately scored five of his team's six goals.

Now British bloggers are writing about Pinyaev, his goals for Chertanovo are gaining thousands of hits on the Internet, and the footballer himself is called the “best player born in 2004 in Europe”. In late January, the Russian talent again went on an internship in Manchester, where he plans to leave now every year until his 18th birthday. according to British law, only after the age of majority he will be able to move there for permanent residence.

-14-year-old player "Chertanovo" went on an internship in "mu"

“Everything went well,” said the director of the Chertanovo Academy, Nikolai Larin. - Sergei has spent two weeks training at Manchester United with a team born in 2004. I did a couple of times with the guys a year and a half over. scored five goals in one tournament. he likes the club, and the club likes him.

- Academy coaches praised him?
- “Manchester” believes that this is the best internship football player in the past 15 years. During this time, many players from all over the world have come to them, but for two years with an internship the best. This is what the head of the club’s academy told us.

- these are serious words ...
- They are so interested that they brought to us the head coach of the main team Solskher and his pupil lingard. with the coach, we mainly talked about the academy “Chertanovo”: that their players play in the second most powerful professional league and that this is not only in Russia but also in Europe. Sulscher said that such a story is very important for our country.

- talked about Sergey?

- the coach did not see him in training and only heard about him from the side. He wished me more success and grow into a good Russian football player. also met Zinchenko from Manchester City. dined together, based on his own life experience, he gave some tips to the gray

- What was this internship?
- it's just finding a Russian footballer in Manchester United. This is not a viewing, because they are already interested in Sergey. but given that up to 18 years can not move there, while helping him get used to England and the team. there were trainings, friendly games ... one test match was canceled because the rivals could not come because of the bad weather. there was also an individual training session with the coach, they did about an hour and a half. This is what is so lacking in Russian football!

- does Sergey already speak English well?
- all the managers and coaches of the “mu” academy noted that he had made a very big step forward compared with the previous year. but this is not surprising, because in Chertanovo we specifically hired him a tutor with whom he occasionally works. so everyone was satisfied with his communication with coaches and teammates.

- It turns out, he spent these two weeks completely as a student of the Manchester United Academy?
- Of course, but without attending secondary school. he had exactly the same mode as the other guys. periodically two training sessions a day, but for us it is a bit surprising when you arrive at 11 am at the academy, you study, eat, rest there, then go to the next training session. it is not so easy.

- you lived on the base?
- No, in the hotel. therefore, we were absolutely unlimited. Sergey calmly communicated with everyone with whom he wanted. the only difference in time is felt: when it is 8 am in Moscow, another 5 hours in England. when you are already awake, the rest are still sleeping ... but you can get used to it. no matter how things develop in the future, such internships are always useful for a football player.

- what is he so hooked "mu"?
- he is very driven, he works with speed quickly at the ball, is very technical, has two legs and is very bright. Not only those who work with him in Russia, but also people from Europe say that they have not met such talented guys on their way. including in "mu".

- Is it possible to sign a preliminary contract with the Manchester club?
- I think that the club can make some kind of offer in order to stake out the player’s right to buy out. but not sure yet. I do not know when this will happen and what kind of proposal it will be. It seems to me that it will be connected with the possibility of a guaranteed signing of a contract at the age of 18, so that competitors do not intercept it. In general, there is already a stir that I don’t really like. 14 years old, and no one knows what will happen to him at 18. we want him to train more calmly. Our task in the Russian national team and youth teams is that he does not remain the next young football player forever "promising."

- excitement from the media or other teams?
- primarily from the media. at some point you need to stop a bit ... as for the other teams, he is being followed in France and now in Italy. these are big clubs.

- since pinyaev is your pupil, will Chertanovo make a profit if a footballer leaves abroad?
- if we had the opportunity to give Sergey to the European Academy now and get some bonuses in the future, we would have done so. since this is not possible, given his contract with the club, we must think so that the interests of our academy do not overlap with the interests of the player. If Sergey doesn’t change his attitude towards football and at the age of 17-18 will play at the same high level, then we hope the Academy will receive some money. we play fnl, we do not have any permanent sponsors, we have to sell football players - for this we work. but for now it’s too early to talk about it.

- he has a professional contract?
- yes, since 14 years old. under labor law is possible. of the guys in 2004, he is one. all others - 2003 and older.

- when will the next internship?
- unfortunately, English laws do not allow Sergey to be on an internship for more than two weeks. but next year he will definitely go again if nothing happens. so far we have it in the plans.

“Best player born in 2004 in Europe”? Not sure if he'll be the best 2004 in Manchester if he comes to us at some point.

Shame that he's Russian so quite a long shot to even mention a transfer due to age limit.

Isn't Shola in the 2004 group? Would Pinaev be more highly thought of than him?

He’s not that good, wasn’t even the best player at Utd

I believe you when you say that, but he does look impressive in all the other footage around. Ignoring the competition, the quality of his play looks good.

"Buffonge given a gilt-edged chance by the unselfish Shonibare, only to put it straight at the keeper, leading to a nervy end to the game"

"Definitely. Gone to pieces since Sibley went off. Can't be helped with a trialist playing with not much understanding with rest of team. No excuse for defensive panic though. Currently 2-1."

(those were the only comments, direct or indirect, about his performance. A couple of people mentioned them losing control of the midfield in the last 20 mins)

From https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/31621-u23s-v-aston-villa-pl-cup/

I have some sympathy towards DJ Buffonge as United haven't appeared to take him seriously these last 18 or so months. No idea at what level in the professional game he might get regular starts in the near future. Bit surprised he didn't go out on loan in Jan but perhaps there weren't any offers. Being a sub so often, first for a crap U23 team, then for a modest U23 side, may not be that attractive to other clubs.

DJ is defo a weird case. I have a feeling that the club somehow don't rate him at all. Don't forget that even Boonen played more than him before Indy left. Maybe some physical/stamina/work rate issue?

Somehow we messed up with that whole age group. Gribbin, Williams, DJ, Boonen, Dearnley, Hamilton, Warren, Whelan, Kenyon. Progresses of all of them since moving up to the U23s has been totally shit except for Hamilton. Kenyon did not even get played before being released.

U16s Slovakia training camp squad, seems to be a confirmation of Noam Emeran's signing.

Looks like, but he might still be undecided and registered as a trialist.

Anybody know anything about Daniel Kavanagh, it's a new one on me

Kavanagh is an U14 midfielder signed from Burnley last summer. Was the tiny number 4 on MTU-Hallencup if you did watch it.

The U14s going on this trip, I don't know anything about them but I'm assuming that they're very highly rated considering they're going above their age group.

It's an U16 trip plus the kids who are being schooled by the club, so not necessarily the best kids in the age group.

Iqbal listed as a defender, changed in position or just admin error? Like what I've seen of him before although a little while back now. Good to see Veevers in there too. Guess the Emeran deal is done as well then, interested to see how he gets on.

Confirmation of Forson signing too.
Oh yeah, I didn't notice, he's supposedly very highly rated. Seems like a pretty decent transfer window for the younger sides.
