Right, so I've decided to start playing this now I have some free time.
So what's the server url and how do I get whitelisted?

it's 1.0.0 (vanilla)
we can always migrate it to a different host later, that's just for testing.
I've no idea what the commands or admin stuff are at all

Finally thought of a concept for my house. Will be hard to execute though, hopefully will have some time tonight to lay the foundations.
Vol pleaseee can we have the surface style map too? I only use the map because it shows all the players and the other one doesn't have that! Birds-eye is crap for seeing how building looks with that. Couldn't you get rid of the standard one? I don't think anyone uses it!
We do have a surface map, it's just not updated in real time, it's on http://redcafe.tanganaika.net/ as usual.
Also, I've fixed the ghast fireball damage, shouldn't destroy blocks anymore, but will still hurt the player.

Can you view that surface map from a different angle or is only rendered from that side?
I know mate I was just saying I only use the map to see where the players are so the static one is not attractive to me, but never mind, you don't ask - you don't get as they say!

Mod works perfectly
Almost finished my house. Want to do an overhang on the sides for the roof, sort out some 'ivy' creeping up the back of it, and then do a garden. Rooftop pool s complete.
I think I might buy Minecraft when I've finished my exams in four days, but will I be allowed on this server? And if I am, will my shoddy workmanship get me kicked off? Also, is it PvP (ie, will I spend my time being ruthlessly killed by the rest of ye? I hate PvP).

Me & BigRed had just got the game and got on the server, I'm sure you'll have no troubles! And no it is not PVP, quite the opposite in fact.
Zombie exp farm is now fully active. Go into the Town mineshaft, turn right and go all the way to the bottom, you will see the sign.
It's simple to work, put the lever up, wait on the wood planks for zombies to gather, put the level down to crush them, leave the lever down while you 1-3 hit-kill them, then when youre done, lift the lever and repeat.

I've built something in creative that is pretty cool, but it uses heavily uses lava. Not sure wether to build it on the server in case it goes wrong
