Mikel Arteta | Lego Pep watch

They have a similarly poor approach to games like Utd. No tempo, poor accuracy and no pace to the game. I cannot see Arteta lasting long!

Where's everyone that said he was an elite manager?

Doesnt help to stand on the touchline and scream instructions if the players dont respond to the overcomplications

Crazy how much of an easy ride he's been given.

Will he make it to January?

Favre just lost his job at Dortmund, he might be worth a shout and could get Arse playing some more attractive stuff.

Never mind of that. United fans in here was defending him just to make a point that he's done better than Ole & making improvement better than Emery.

Strapped for cash so splurged most of it to get Willian and keep Aubameyang. Isn't looking like a great decision at all now.

Staring at 4 home league losses in a row if Burnley hold on. Has that ever happened Arsenal?
Didn't happen since 59. Never lost against Burnley in the BPL as well. Arteta is breaking all the records tonight.

Last time they lost against Burnley (at home I think) was in the seventies, when the grand father of Burnley's player Mee was Arsenal's manager

I don't understand the gameplan.

Against Burnley:
Willian hugs the touchline and punts aimless crosses to Ben Mee and Tarkowski who have to defend it against 5'8 Lacazette. No movement in midfield. Bellerin constantly comes infield and plays aimless through passes and doesn't track runners. Arteta plays Xhaka and Elneny but not Ceballos - their one creative player - against a team who are happy to sit back and give them 70% of the ball. Not to mention they lost nearly every second ball and loose ball.

Soul crushing football if you are an Arsenal fan. Long may it continue.

Can't believe they're still there and starting too. It's like if United still had Schneiderlin and Darmian featuring constantly.

Bit annoying as he's been SO shit, he will be sacked soon and they may get someone competent in

Imagine the uproar here (and presumably at Spurs) if Pochettino gets announced as Arsenal's new manager.

People are forgetting that Emery made them finished above us in 18/19. He made Lacazatte scored 13 league goals & 8 assists. He also made Aubameyang scored 22 league goals. If anything Arteta is doing worse with better players than what they had in 18/19.

The way he sets up his team they create feck all

Like they did with Emery and then erm Arteta? Nah their board is worse than ours, they had the chance to get proven winners but they go for the cheap options

Can we name and shame the gimps who rated this guy elite and put Ole in the bottom 3 managers in the league.

Arteta is so bad and play really negative and uggly footy but the Arsenal mess is beyond their manager. The team is so bad. Never seen an Arsenal team so poor with or without the ball.
They are stocked with older players on big contracts and their owner won't spend a penny. Good luck for a rebuild...

It’s all on Arteta. He has the players to be playing far better football than this. I actually thought he looked quite clever in a few cup games at the end of last season.

He is horrendously negative and his style of football is like a mid-nineties cash-strapped PL club. The players will look a lot better with someone who knows what they are doing in charge. Approaching a game today against Burnley with a defensive set up and crosses in to Mee and Tarkowski. That’s as clueless as it gets.

Leno
Cedric
Gabriel
Saliba
Tierney
Partey
Ceballos
Ozil
Willian
Aubameyang
Lacazette

It’s a good side. I just can’t believe how negative and basic his approach has been. Really bizarre.

Most of the media tbh, up until a few months ago it was like Arsenal had a Pep/Klopp hybrid in charge according to the media he was doing a fantastic job

I see Arsenal as a cautionary tale for UTD...
Being content with top 4 and casually dropping standards until you get happy you even make EL...

He's gonna fluke at least 1 win against City/Chelsea if he' s not gonna get sacked before.
