Michael Bradley

The US are a lot like Arsenal in that their Women's team could probably beat their Men's.

I've never been a big fan of Bradley. Like Klinsi, I find his tactical game lacking. He'll run until he only has two toes left, he'll crash into tackles, and he's got a good eye for goal, but he gets caught out time and time again, he doesn't close down space as evident in the WC when the US kept getting score on through the middle, and his forward passing leaves a lot of questions.

Saying that, good for him!

After lots of talk of a move to Palermo, Roma have now hijacked talks.

Would be around 3m.

Value.

Playing well tonight. I know we showed an interest in him before he signed for Roma.

While I'm sure he wouldn't be first choice on our list of cm targets, he's an effective player and would currently walk into our midfield.

Good player. Been an absolute beast for TFC and I said it when he signed for TFC I would actually have taken him here. Never thought I'd take a TFC player at United.

MLS just spent $10 million on him and are paying him $6 million a year.

He's not United quality. Jesus, its the same story on the caf, we've had it with other players like Tiote. Midfielders that aren't good enough are suddenly good enough based on one game.

It isn't based off of one match. I've seen him quite a bit for the USMNT, all of his TFC matches, his Villa matches and some Roma. He is way better than Tiote. I wouldn't really want us to sign him but he would be a starter for us at the moment. That's not saying he is a top player it is saying that he would be a starter for us at the moment.

He wouldn't start for us, Fellaini was talked about that way. Look at the way that turned out. The midfield is poor right now, but sometimes the shit spouted about it gets ridiculous.

It must be WC time if a Michael Bradley thread has been bumped.

BTW, there was no reason to bump this thread. Start a new one next time.

Its the first true WC experience for the kids. They will wise up in time. In the mean time, kids, go search for 'Players who danced one summer' thread.

he was also shit in tho game. Gave away the ball so much. Very inconsistent player throughout his international career

Klinsmann thinks that he can play for Bayer, Madrid, or United, 'but the only thing holding him back is him.' At this moment he's not top three material in any of the top European leagues.

His work rate was impressive but his final ball left a lot to be desired, tonight.

He'd decent, not United standard obviously, but was absolutely dog-shit tonight. Touch was completely off.

I agree he wasn't that great today but he's better than many are giving him credit for. I'd say at his best he's as good as a pre-illness Fletcher. Can't wait to see what he does against the Germans.

Weird time for a bump considering he wasn't impressive against Ghana. I thought Jermaine Jones was much better.

There were a couple points in his career where it looked like he could take the next step in his career. When he left Heerenveen, but he stagnated a bit at Monchengladbach. When he got to Roma and slotted in, then he got displaced by Strootman and Nainagolan (however it's spelled). On his day he's near where Darren Fletcher was at his best with added creativity (although he doesn't maintain that level the way Fletcher did).

I've never understood the hype.

He looked poor in this match against a team with many fine midfielders.

He found his level in my opinion.

One of his worst games for us. He was pretty shit. On the bright side, I don't think he can play any worse than that so he should rebound from it against a deflated Portugal. Good player, just wasn't his day.

Based on what I saw in the game against Ghana.....Nothing. Just trotted over the field, didn't track back or mark anybody then wasted the ball with awful passing. The Germans will bury him.

I thought he was awful last night but he's a good player. I wouldn't take him though. If I were to take one player on the pitch last night it would be Asamoah. I know he played left-back but he's a good midfielder and would take him as a second midfield signing. He's a good box to box midfielder and should be available at a decent price. No idea why Ghana play their best player at left-back.

ukbob: Sober as a judge my good man.
I would take Bradley over Clev, Anderson, Fellaini or Fletcher v.2014
