He played well and used the ball intelligently, nice weight of pass to set up RvP and more than once when feeding the ball inside the channel.
 
How much? Any chance?

We need four wingers in my opinion and then Welbeck, Kagawa or Juan Mata could cover in the event of freak injuries, or Louis will improvise by putting RVP out wide.

Januzaj obviously and I think Zaha should be given a chance, I also think we should keep Nani and so we should really look to sign a quality winger. Memphis would just take development time from Zaha and Adnan.
 
If Sanchez doesn't work out I'd be okay with him coming. Looked good, very skillful on the ball.
 
So we going to bump every transfer thread whenever a Dutch player plays half decent.

This really. If we bring in a top midfield and a center back or Sanchez then I really couldn't give a feck about the rest. Sanchez would personally be a dream signing but someone like Depay, despite being very promising, would just be an average signing. We've already got one of the most promising young wingers in the world.

If Zaha won't excel then we can even add Depay to the shopping cart with Sanchez.

Like you said, I also don't give a feck who will we sign after acquiring needed priorities but I'm sure Louie have some further transfer plans beyond that.
 
Young is out of contract in a year's time and I don't see us extending that.

I think Nani is the only one who might leave out of the three. I don't see Young having many realistic suitors due to his wages. We have Welbeck and Kagawa too who will probably get most of their game time from out wide so I'd be shocked if we sign two wingers this summer. Zaha and Lingard both need another loan too IMO.
 
I don't rate Zaha at all and the fact that he couldn't even get into Cardiff's team says it all about his work rate and desire to make it. He didn't even look particularly talented so not even having the mentality makes it worse.
Sanchez, Januzaj, Valencia then Nani or Depay would be a good set of wingers to have. Nani/Depay the unpredictable one, Young sold, Valencia the solid, defensive option as a squad player, Januzaj the top youngster pushing for a first team place and then Sanchez as the top class player.
 
He's not better than Nani. He does not have more 'potential' than Nani. He is 6.7 years younger than Nani though, don't know if that counts for something.

I'm just really happy he played well today because man, we needed that. But Memphis is not one of a kind and I still like Adnan or even Sterling more.

He has a lot of potential though. And for me, Sterling and Januzaj are the elite in terms of ceiling potential of youngsters - being a tier below them isn't too bad.

By and large you seem to be quite hard on the Dutch kids. Not having a go at you, you know them much better than I - or indeed most Caftards - do. But it raises the question; is there any young Dutch player who you consider to be a truly top drawer talent? Kongolo? Vilhena?
 
I just like his name, its well cool.
 
He looked decent enough but nothing that screamed United quality. Just another pacy right footed left winger.
 
He was very lucky with his goal but he did have a good game and I like the look of him as a player.
 
I saw him twice and he produced more than Valencia, Nani and Young in last two seasons.
 
hes got a good swing in him, good dribbler and looks pretty strong, tends to loos ball but which winger doesnt? doesnt look United quality? I think he could fight for the starting spot straight away right now and hes 20! reminds me of Nani as hes quite inconsitent as well but that could be eliminated by vG, hes very syoung and as a replacement for Nani ideal tho.. but first Sanchez!:drool:
 
Looks like a beter player than Nani, Valencia or Young are, so he would constitute and immediate improvement on our flanks. He is 20 years old and has got bags of talent, this guy is going places just like Januzaj. I'd say sign him up regardless of getting someone else in like Sanchez or Cuadrado.

I would like us to sign Sanchez or Cuadrado (or Griezmann) and him. If we then can't get Sanchez or Cuadrado, we'd still be ok with just signing him and having Januzaj as another promising massively talented winger, I'd then suggest keeping Nani aswell to have a more experienced quality alternative for the wing. But if we could land either one of Sanchez or Cuadrado then I would sell Nani this summer.

Idealy I would love to see something like this

Valencia then getting a contract renewal and with Young we don't renew his contract next year when it runs out.

Leaves us with 4 winger options: Sanchez, Depay, Januzaj, Valencia

Sanchez ofcourse being in the XI, Depay and Januzaj competiting for the other wing and as important back up and Valencia as a utility squad player (that can also cover for RB from time to time)

Wings sorted for the next 5 years
 
You get the idea that perhaps LVG can sign this kid now and lend him back to PSV for another season......i'd take him now but maybe staying another season with PSV would be the best move for his career...he is going to be an awesome player.

I just can't see Alexis Sanchez coming here....one of Cuadrado, james rodriguez or Greizman might be available....I can't see Robben coming either even if we were willing to offer 40 million quid for him as some reports are suggesting
 
Buy him and play him. Get the kids in and let's get some excitement back into OT.
 
I'd go berserk if we didn't sign him and then having to watch him develop into the next big thing in football, espeically since we have LVG now as coach, that would be unbearable, he has to come here, no other way.

Him and Januzaj on our wings as two of the best wingers in the world (within a couple of seasons) it is destiny !
