Floyd landed 60 more punches than Manny. But Manny looked like he threw more so should have won or something !!!!

Can we look at the win:loss ratio of those fighters againsy Floyd's as well? The reason Mayweather isn't one of the top 5 boxers of all time is that he fights for decisions, not knockouts. The last time he knocked someone out and it wasn't A) a woman or B) a cheap shot was 8 years ago.
Look at the knockout:win ratio of Ali, Robinson, Johnson, Leonard, Louis, Tyson, Marciano, Foreman, etc. compared to Mayweather.
This was the same problem last year, Khan apparently backed down from Floyd's offer to fight.Ramadan runs through to the end of July. He can't really get ready for a fight in 6 weeks, that too against Floyd.
I agree. Unless some boxing prodigy emerges, I think I'll rather watch UFC.Boxing is definitely declining.
People want to be entertained, and that wasn't entertainment.
As I expected. Mayweather avoided Pacquiao when Pacquiao was at his best. GGG would likely destroy it, but then again I think that it would be a bot of an unfair advantage. It is something elsefighting a De La Hoya who was past it and something else fighting a boxer on his prime like GGG.He said 154, but Floyd Sr said he doesn't want his son to go near him.
It'll most probably be Khan. Thurman is possible too, as is Danny Garcia. Doubt Floyd will give Manny the rematch.
Agreed. Its like he sees the punches before the opponent throws them. Its incredible.
Surely that kind of skill is something he was just born with? As opposed to something that can be coached?

If you want to be entertained, watch Canelo vs Kirkland next Saturday. And then GGG the Saturday after. Plenty of high level entertaining fighters out there.I agree. Unless some boxing prodigy emerges, I think I'll rather watch UFC.
Is ufc more aggressive?
Would love for that to happen but no chance Floyd takes on that beast.
Also wouldn't weight be an issue?
Yeah but Oscar was never a natural junior middleweight, while GGG has been at middleweight all his life. Having said that, GGG coming down to 154 could affect his performance. It'd be a great match-up, but no way Floyd takes that fight. And it's probably a bit unfair on Floyd to demand it too.As I expected. Mayweather avoided Pacquiao when Pacquiao was at his best. First part fair enough, but they are 39 and 36, no one wants to see them retire with a brain injury

You're off your rocker if up you think Floyd's just one ahead
I agree. However, it might be the only fight which may elevate him to top 3 or so best fighters of all time.Yeah but Oscar was never a natural junior middleweight, while GGG has been at middleweight all his lift. Do you think that he could win against GGG?He'll beat GGG at 154 and people will say he drained GGG. The guy can't win.
He didn't avoid Pacquiao either, both are to blame. Even Roach blamed Mannh recently for the fight not happening the first time around.
Also, if they did fight in 2010, do you really think it would have been any different?
So GGG is the new flavour of the month.
I'm a big GGG fan, but he needs to step it up himself. Its not like he's tearing apart the top fighters in and around his division.
Yeah, pure legacy fight. People will respect him for taking that fight no matter what happened. But that's what all of the true TBEs did, they dared to be great.I agree. However, it might be the only fight which may elevate him to top 3 or so best fighters of all time.
Because he is too good for other champions to want to fight him. Whydo you think Floyd doesn't fight him?So GGG is the new flavour of the month.

There are lots of boring UFC fights, especially when they go to the ground. Boxing like any sport is prone to dull affairs. It just so happens that this fight was hyped up to crazy expectations but all the evidence was there before hand that Mayweather would make this into a snore fest.
There are crazy action fights in boxing almost every week.

If the fight happened in 2010, it might have gone differently. May would have likely win (similar to tonight) but Pac was more explosive than he is now. I mean he thrown today less punches than May, does anyone think that this could have happened 5 years ago?
Well that's rubbish. What about the 24 year old Mexican who did 2.2m PPVs in 2013? Don't see anyone in UFC doing that. Or even half of that...RIP Boxing. When Mayweather and Pacquiao retire it's over. No stars left.

Long live the UFC.

Exactly. No-one gave a chance to Ali when he had to fght Foreman. Almost a decade older than Foreman while Foreman was on a fantastic form, destroying everyone. If Ali wouldn't fight that match, would he had been remembered as he is now? I doubt it.Yeah, pure legacy fight. People will respect him for taking that fight no matter what happened. Anyhow, I think GGG would cut of the ring and kill him with body shots most likely.
No one will fight him in fairness. The 'undisputed' middleweight champ won't go near him him.
@Revan
Yes I do. Mayweather has a significant reach advantage over Paquiao that makes his style even more effective. I don't believe that Pac could ever have beaten him.
