He never said he doesn't fancy Spain. In regards to which competition he said he doesn't really have a big preference, but if he had to choose it would be the English competition.
I think the club will weigh more heavily in this case than the competition, and challenging for the Champions League.
And a Ramos and Piqué fan. Think that says very little. But Juventus seemed to be the first contender before Barcelona came in the picture. I think Frenkie's transfer plays a big role too, them and their girlfriends get along really well.

Came in here to say just that. For his age, he's the best i've ever seen.
Even if we're way down the list of clubs he's likely to join we should be trying every possible tactic to convince him. Does he have any brothers or sisters we can sign just to keep him company, doesn't even matter if they play football (and they would probably still force their way into the team anyway).
Said it before, hes the defensive Mbappe. De Jong also might well be the midfield one as well. The outstanding youth talents who are already basically world class players.

De Ligt though has already been world class, in this climate of lack of truly elite CB, already among the best. Which is quite an achievement for his age. He is this generation Nesta to Mbappe as Ronaldo of this generation. Him maintaining this level when he moved to bigger club is sufficient enough. Improving and he's challenging for a position in all time great hall of fame.

I really don't know, it is quite strange considering Mourinho was full of praise of him. Maybe it was the age? Davison Sanchez was supposed to be hot shit but our game plan in that final was centered around pressuring him into mistake and that worked a treat.

In Arnold, VVD, Gomez and Robertson they already have a young and very good starting back four. Matip and Lovren are not awful squad centre backs but think they would be upgrading them if anything

How ironic we played them 2 years ago and yet none of our scouts (if we have any) thought of signing some of them. Probably it's good for them as Jose would not have played them much or they might not have developed this well, but still astounding we didn't raid these players much earlier.
