Dutch newspaper 'De Telegraaf' reporting that PSG has reentered the fray in the battle for De Ligt. The commission for Raiola is obviously no problem for them and they think they might have a chance after all. Because of this, Real Madrid have allegedly also found new hope to sign the guy.

It's now a 2 horse race between Barce and PSG though they say.

De Telegraaf is not the worst source when it comes to Ajax mostly.

edit: hehe @Gate99 beat me to it :)

Directly under the sun... NOW!
"Through the roller coaster of emotions in life (the transfer window), we may lose sight of the path, but we must never lose hope. Hope is the shining light, which illuminates everything in our future. If we stop following the light (De Ligt), we lose our source of optimism, our faith wavers and we find ourselves asking the most fundamental philosophical questions like: Why? What am I doing?"
From here.

People like to pretend we have no history or heritage. They love the narrative that we only have money now and nothing else. Anyone would think we're City...
How important is history, really? You have to offer more. Stories have come out today that both Pogba and Lukaku have accepted massive pay cuts to leave. If our pool of potential buys is nothing but players who have affection for us then we’re more screwed than we realise.

They also reported Lukaku agreed 7.5 million wages which is more than what he was earning at ManUtd.

Somehow everyone takes paycut and every club wage bill is so huge. It's just random reports and in few cases PR stunt.

Wouldn't underestimate PSG... those feckers got the 2 youngest of the four best players in the world after all.

Like with the Frenkie reporting who almost signed for PSG, when De Telegraaf smells smoke they'll report fire, but (usually) they don't create stories out of thin air, but get it from internal sources.

I struggled to remember Neymar, yeah they have him too.

I would prefer to see PSG go for french players, Konaté and Upamecano aren't bad.

Someone on reddit mentioned that De Telegraaf have two different journos reporting different things, i'll try and find the comment.
Marcel Van der kraan is reporting the following via sky. He mentions Man City and Man Utd as being the two interested parties..

As mad as this sounds, if it’s between Barca and PSG he’ll choose Barca regardless of the wages. If it’s between us and Barca, he’ll choose us because of the wages.

I don’t think he’ll be too keen on the french league.

I think the City news is utter bollocks btw, there’s no way Pep deals with Raiola.

He made a specific point of going to a club that's best for his development, he'll know going to PSG won't help him grow as a defender.

No way he chooses PSG! He must be knowing how difficult it would be for him to leave the club if he ever wants to. Plus French league is even less competitive than Eredivisie, so unlikely he'll go there

Marcel Van der kraan said that Barca had first option on De Ligt when they signed Frenkie De Jong.

But it seems like that first option may not be useful if De Ligt prefers the Premier League.

So it's understandable why Overmars prefers the Barca move for De Ligt.

Honest question: Would it benefit us if he suddenly got consecutive stinkers (De Gea-ish) in his upcoming international matches? Would his price reduce and some suitors retreat, thinking he might do a David De Gea next season?

What's the deal with de Ligt moving this summer while Raiola has the transfer ban?

Don't worry, guys. De Ligt isn't going to throw away the opportunity to play Chernobyl FC in the Europa League by joining Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or City instead of us. He's not crazy.

He has another agent that is his "main" guy, but Raiola is doing the dirty work.

If the club wants to fix the wage structure, we might really not be interested in De Ligt if his demands are really that high. If reports are to believed, that may also be the reason why we won't meet De Gea's demands, trying to ship off Lukaku and Sanchez and didn't offer what Herrera was demanding.

Our current wage structure is not sustainable unless we get back to the top really quick.

The Dutch report should be the most reliable one. No bias against United or helping Barcelona. If they say we're out, then it's probably over already.
