Totally agree. He is an top talent with awesome potential but 350k is for Ballon D'or winners who crush it in any league straight out the gate. He might take a year to adjust to the Prem etc too many unknowns. He is 19 as you say. 200k should be the limit.
We have already made ourselves cannon fodder for agents and we need to keep our heads firmly screwed on and send a different message. The cost to purchase players is something I am more flexible on IF there is big demand from other teams and we want to knick a player. But wages have to kept sensible otherwise we make the mess we have in house even messier. I mean we cant even shift half of our guys because no one wants to take on their wages.
The message here would be, we’re powerful, we’re back and we have a World Class centre-half for the next fifteen years.

I've already heard some who have watched more of him say that his defending is tackling isn't particularly special and thus he could get exposed. It doesn't take many weaknesses in the Premiership to suddenly not look like the best option as the game evolves. Just look at the criticism around De Gea for his distribution. A bad example because we still want him, but the tide can turn quickly.
