Just noticed that in his 4 years at Torino he hasn't played less than 30 games a season in the league for them.

I think that would have worked in his favour when we were looking at buying him.

Yup with some clubs you see the cycle of rumour - confirmation - medical - signing to be done in a couple of days with us it always takes weeks or longer.

You never see a rumour poping up and the next day a new player holding the shirt with Woodward/Van Gaal. It always takes weeks of negotiating, rumours about when the medical is going to, which take forever, even then sometimes days until it is official and confirmed.

The way we do these deals always seems so much slower and heavier than most other clubs. it is like an easy to complete signing doesn't exist for when United is involved.

Cause we're a massive club everything is scrutinised more closely than say Stoke. I'm sure if you found dedicated fan forums for other similar sized clubs any signings they make will have been suggested or hinted at as well. We didn't even know Darmian was a target until what a fortnight ago maximum?
