When you mentioned that he could possibly be used in ‘’
the advanced central position on the left is a possibility along with playing alongside a strike partner in a two man striker formation which can easily be tweaked by going with a more convential three man midfield’’. By going with more convential three man midfield in order to fit Tel to the team, that’s basically ruling out Amad as R10. So far, Amorim doesn’t seem to have faith playing Amad as wingback unless if we play against the relegation level teams. Why should we be targeting Quenda, if the aim is to play Amad as right wingback?
And when you mentioned, ‘’
if he is utilised as the central attacker on the left with a wingback providing the width, I think that could also suit him because he'd play that role very differently to the other options because he'd attack the channel and get shots off.’’ This is something Garnacho has been utilised in this system, which doesn’t solve our attackers issue.
The way how you described sounds like Tel won’t just comes in and hits the ground running, instead:
- Tel would need time to adapt (4 months loan deal isn’t plenty of time to learn and develop especially in mid season), so there is risk if he won’t even have the time to adapt to the new league and new environment.
- Potentially sacrificing some of our talented player just to fit him in.
- He will provide option as the L10 role, which is another raw talented 19 years old player (1 year younger than Garnacho), but it doesn’t solve the lack of goal in our striker and another weak point you have mentioned ‘’the physicality in midfield’’.
I hope he will play the no 9 role because our current no 9 is bigger issue than our L10. But I don’t know much about Tel, and the way how you described him, it sounds like he will play the L10 role instead. As L10, he would have been more suitable as Garnacho’s replacement if Garnacho leaves.
