Is he a left forward? Sounds like another player we didn’t know the best position of.

Is he A Cunha Mata, ha?

Manchester United wants Matheus Cunha, but Atlético is asking for more than 50 million. In addition, the Brazilian is very comfortable in Madrid. Nothing advanced. :nervous:

Spanish media back with the buzzkill.

Going off stats for a player that played for defensive Atletico isn’t the best way to judge a player. He’s a talented player, who could be very good in the right system
That's a good point

Cunha and Morata? Not wonderful players.
Cunha and Morata? Let’s blame the Glazers.
It means no monies, for the rest of our days.
It’s our transfer fee, philosophy.
Cunha and Morata.

Why, when he was a young Ten Hag….
When I was a young Ten Haaaaaaag!

Know zilch about him but his stats look pretty good.

Aside from his pressing/defensive stats which piss all over our other attacking options, he was 96th percentile for non-penalty xG per 90 last season.

I can't stand these Spanish sources. Muppet kill at every opportunity.

He seems to be a versatile forward who can play either wing or through the middle.

6ft, very quick and technical dribbler, good engine and high presser.

Goal record isn’t great but he actually gets quite a few assists.

Does seem more of what Ten Hag is looking for, especially with the versatility.

We haven't even begun the preparing stage, would be tough to get over the line.

Get him, it's him or Sesko and Sesko wont be moving for 2+ years

His goal record isn’t great, looking at clips however he can definitely strike a ball.

Sesko signed for Leipzig last week

As I said he won't be moving for 2 years because of the Leipzig transfer. Sorry if my post wasn't explicit I thought it might have been inferred.

Interesting. I remember him from his time in Sion mainly, from where he went on to the Bundesliga.

He‘s a technically sound player with a good workrate. 50m would be a lot of money though.

Seems a bit expensive, for that sort of money we should be looking at Gouiri.

I think the next 2 weeks are going to be good fun if nothing else. Deadline days are usually so dull for us. This one should be fun

Our transfer dealings feel like that Reddit thread of "you are offered a million dollars but a snail will set of from across the world and if it touches you, you die, do you accept?"

But it's "United will place a bid, but the snail carrying the offer will start from across the world. If the snail reaches the club by the end of the window, United will pay the money".

I don’t see the relation between the 2 players but never mind

He has been at Athletico for 1 year. Alarm bells should be ringing if they are willing to let him go already.

He came on in the 87th min at the weekend with the game decided.

Last season, he played 29 La Liga games. 21 as a sub. Started 8 games and was brought off in each.

HE HAS NOT PLAYED ONE FULL GAME IN LA LIGA !

how far has he run before he’s subbed that’s all that matters.

More bollocks, the guy couldn't get a game for Atletico but he is apparently good enough for United.

Also think Talksport are one of the worst for breaking stories, I'm sick of hearing we've agreed a fee.

Seems to have a goal /assist every three games which isn’t bad if it’s the work rate and team structure that appeals to Ten Hag. I think Diaz has the same record / attributes?

So it seems we're a pressing machine who is gifted technically. Sounds good to me. Those pressures per 90 minutes... would be a huge upgrade for us tactically.
