Match Day section ready for the new season

That's ok, but is there a list of sorts, an archive or do I gave to type the url myself? Like I've tried with l.a.galaxy and took me a few times to write the correct one.

I'll be adding a list of recent results to the match day homepage today or tomorrow.

Seems there is a small bug with this...

Ratings next to players are only from LA Galaxy game, and I guess they should be either average or their highest ratings?

Good spot, thanks. The average rating is correct now.

I'm having some problems with the matchday thread, i get frequent errors when i try to refresh the page and the usernames are rarely viewed correctly, it's been the same the previous match as well.

Yup, me too. Was talking to Damien and he said it's because the site was overloaded with visitors.

Sorry about the crappy site performance @Someone @Crackers et al.

I dropped the ball on that one. I've been optimising the match day stuff after some performance issues in the earlier matches but completely missed an easy caching configuration which meant the load on the servers went nuts during parts of the game (after the goals) and at the end.

It's sorted now so things should be a lot more stable from here on in.

Please make another thread for newbies to comment in.
Also, please give us an update button or make it auto-update with ajax so we can see updates in real-time (new pages, comments etc) or give us the option of clicking the page-number as we can in the other topics to get it refreshed. (less need to spam f5 and be careful about changing our current location through a hyperlink, like for example to a specific post.)

Had to read that 3 times to decipher the various suggestions you were making but all very good points, there's a couple of things there I hadn't considered and will definitely look at implementing. Thanks.

The newbie comments will most likely be staying though.

Not quite clear on this point, can you clarify?
Yes, my bad.
Basically it'd be fixed in itself if we got a refresh button or auto-refresh. It was poorly put forward as I clicked on "last unread comment" instead of the current page number once, and the current address in my web-browser changed, so whenever i refreshed i ended up on that comment.

Not to worry, my bad. Sorry for my formulations, I am a bit sleepy and a bit drugged - as usual. :)
