Mata | Mourinho says it's just a Mata of time

Especially given that we're buying him from a domestic rival. Not overpriced at all really all things considered.

Yeah, I'm of the same view. The only reason the fee feels a bit high is because he's been out of the team the last few months. If he'd been playing - and I suspect he would under any other manager - that fee is pretty reasonable for a player in the top 4 or 5 in the league and of his age.

Probably the fair outcome for all parties involved (Utd, Chelsea, Mata himself).

They boo'ed Anton Ferdinand for having the audacity to be on the receiving end of John Terry's racism.

Yeah, but Anton was out of order for that... the sheer audacity of being racially abused by someone else? it's a disgrace frankly... much like it to be the brother of said victim.

They both had it coming...?

I'm not surprised. As soon as i get promoted to the mains, we get our first major signing. Coincidence? No. More like fate. No. More like destiny.

Can we promote Lowkey again in a week, Vidal?

Wait, are we using the tune to 'pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake bakers man' for a Mata chant?

My favourite fans are still those at the Britannia who booed Ramsey for daring to get his leg broken by Shawcross.

Don't forget the Liverpool fan who was clicking pic when Agbanlahor landed badly over the advertising boards last week.

So, Van Persie and Mata.

Suarez or Toure next? Silva, Kompany would be okay - I guess.

Mourinho is totally a Manchester United manager. The fans would lap him up and Mourinho obviously still wants the job. I believe that he will one day be our manager.

He's as close to Fergie as there is.

He's got the midas touch, the strong will, the arrogance, he plays the media like a fiddle and he's a brilliant man manager - although has high profile fallings out with individuals.

Dare I say it, would Fergie have really wanted to see a Manager taking over the helm who has the potential to match his European Cup record with United while he is still alive? I love the man as much as my own Granddad but there's no point denying there isn't an ego there that is very proud of his legacy.

SSN are still reporting that there is still no agreement and the negotiations are still going between United and Chelsea, BUT if that's true how was Mata allowed to travel to Manchester to have his medical (according to Mou)?!

Players can be given permission to talk to clubs and have a medical before a fee is agreed.
