In defence or offence? I don't think it's desperate when there's so much of it out there.
I understand the intention behind it, but disagree. In a scene as cliche'd and contrived as that one, it's desperate.
The more footage I see of this, the worse it gets.
The acting, animations and storyline are awful.
I'm not even going to bother when it goes down to £20.

Of course I played it and that article is terrible.
I loved every second of Uncharted 4 and clearly so did several reviewers. But hey, I guess my opinion has to be invalid because people on the internet are calling it overrated, boring and full of pointless walking/climbing sections. I mean, even the morons are realizing it so I clearly have some catching up to do in terms of what is acceptable to like and what not.Nope. Tried to give this a chance beyond the trial but its still the same boring shit. Refunded.
So this seems like a pile of shit. Great. I wasn't expecting much after the way they utterly screwed up Mass Effect 3's ending.

So, mainstream reviewers are giving it 6-7-8, so, realistically, the game is 4 or 5. Good job, Bioware.

Imagine being in charge of creating an AAA level huge budget sequel to one of the most loved game trilogies of all time (if you write the ending out of your head-canon), and screwing it up on basic levels. GJ!!!

My brother was a massive fan of the trilogy. He was telling me years ago that this would be a mess
Anyone at bioware with any talent has left and those with any sense abandoned this game in its early development. It wasn't heading anywhere that would reach expectations.
The problem is that the guy who was in charge of this is the same guy who wrote the canon ending of Mass Effect 3. For whatever reasons, EAWare though that it was a good idea to promote him in Casey Hudson's role (whom despite his mistakes in ME3, did stellar jobs in KOTOR, BG2, ME and ME2).
I think it is quite clear that with so many BioWare legends leaving around the same time, the mistake was putting a totally incompetent person in charge. They have only themselves to blame if the game flops in sales and makes BioWare an irrelevant company.

It is getting a lot of positive feedback on Reddit. I reckon it's probably a better game than the reviews suggest. I'll definitely play it when they patch it up a bit.

I don't get how they botched it. Facial CGI, whatever it's called, has come on leaps and bounds since ME2. And in ME2, they based Shepard off this guy...

Knew this was going to be crap, all the signs were there. They showed nothing of the game for ages, the trailers were CGI. It's always the same, when the developers don't show gameplay, you just know it's going to turn out shit.
The biggest giveaway was the new crew for me, it's where the writers and developers shine through. The new squamates all looked boring, uncreative and unoriginal. I wouldn't even care about the bugs and all the bad stuff if the story turned out to be decent and the characters were interesting. They couldn't even get that right. 5 years of development

Nah. This will sell very well. And the sequel won't take 5 years. Most likely 2/3 years.
Dragon Age 2 got average reviews and there was a sequel.

Remember when the worst complaints they got were being sexist for using the male model they had hired to be the face of the game as the face of the game? Those were the days.
Ahh... Ass Effect. Miranda, Tali's hips, Liaria's boob job in between sequels...that ain't happening with this Biower team.
Quite frankly the ending of ME3 and how crap this looks aren't the biggest turn off from the game for me. It's the complete lack of Miranda's ass. We all know that's what space exploration is about.
The budget for Mass Effect is much bigger than Dragon Age though, it's an expensive game to make and market.
You're most likely right, but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't one or there's a longer 2 year delay for the next one
One could also argue the opposite, that because it's Mass Effect people want to love it so bad they'll see it in a better light.
I guess, as always, the proof will be in the playing.
Question: I only ever played ME1 and LOVED IT. KOTOR 1 and 2 are probably my favourite games on Xbox, so now I have a decision to make:
Replay ME1 and play 2 and 3, or buy Andromeda.

Hard to recommend anything here, it very much depends on what in particular you enjoyed about the games you named.

Stuff like that makes me angry. Total negligence for detail, no creativity at all. They don't even try to make up something in character for the alien romances.
Sure, but I think that goes more for the public whereas mine sits with reviewers. I'm sure if you swapped this with DA:I then it'd have better reviews and that worse too as the narrative around Bioware has changed and reviewers often lean towards it.
