I'm getting Woodward vibes here with the way this transfer's being dealt with. I get that they find Mount to be valuable, but if they don't play him that often and mainly keep him at the bench, of course his valuation's going to be lower by the rest of the market. Poch wanting to keep Mount won't necessarily lead to more first-team minutes, anyways.

While it's fine saying we should walk away (and I kind of agree with it) the reality is that if ETH wants that specific attacking profile of #8 then I struggle to think of a better fit than Mount. I don’t think so. The club managing to squeeze £65m or more out of Arsenal for Havertz probably gave them confidence to hold out for the price they want for Mount. If the Havertz deal hadn’t happened I bet Mount would go for much less.
