I'm not against signing Mount but seems very expensive if we have such a limited budget and currently no striker worthy of a top 10 club or no goalkeeper that can be depended on either.

We can easily get those 50 mn from other saleable assets. It's not our only option to get those amount. Regarding ffp we already reduced our wage bill considerably more than 1/3rd.

And does it really give us someone a lot better? Keeping in mind that there aren't really that many players out there like Mount. Im not saying i'm a big fan of the Mount signing, in all honesty I don't really know much about the player, I just feel like £50m (max) is probably just about a fair price. I believe players you’ve signed snd then sell on don't count anywhere near as much as you’d think towards ffp stuff, honegrown players you haven’t spent a penny on help you much more, selling the likes of Gallagher and Mount is your best bet.

You need to raise 92M by June 30th and that is a fact and the only way to do so is by selling homegrown players who will count as pure profit when sold. Colwill would be one but you don't want to sell him and I don't see any other easy deals out there to be made in the next two weeks. The asking price is too high and Boehly is a clown. Mount will leave on a free if you don't get what you can now because he is not extending with a mid table team and you are dreaming if you think you are getting back into Europe next year when there are at least 10 better teams than yours in the PL and all are strengthening.

I think there’s a thousand players who can do the same as Mount for the same amount of money or less. I think our scouting team are just lazy and are going for players that they think will be easy to get (running out of contract) or people in the same league that they’ve probably seen him play a few games. De bruyne signed for city for 55m and they signed Alvarez for 14m. Think about it, with a proper scouting team you can pick up gems for so little.

We don't know how Chelsea will fare under Poch. We don't know how United will fare next season. We don't know if other clubs will come in for him. We don't know how Mount would react to a wasted season, because we are unwilling to pay for him now.
It looks like EtH wants Mount, so we should try and get him, regardless of how long he has left on his contract. You would hope him being in the last year of his contract would make negotiations easier.
