Won the ball a couple of times, made a crucial block and kept possession very well. It's a shame the others couldn't follow suit.
A starter and created the winner in the Champions league final yet stupid Chelsea supporters boo him?

It was a small section of the ground. The rest of the ground applauded him. Some fans believe he forced his way out of the club for more money. The reporting in the lead up to his departure was basically Chelsea and Mount’s camp engaging in a PR war. Some of those reports said he rejected several offers and then United gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse. Hence why we have pockets of the fanbase who think he’s a judas snake.
Not the way it looked or sounded TV.It was a small section of the ground. The rest of the ground applauded him.
I’d start him left instead if Rashford and move Bruno to false 9 Garnaucho on the right and Amad as the AM in front of Mainoo and either Amrabat or McTominay because Casemiro just looks like an old man right now.The only player who looked sharp and "on" it. I would start him in a good position, for either Bruno or Mainoo (he needs a break°)

Get some legs in the Midfield and Mount will be a huge help to the left back tracking Mo Salah.
Against Liverpool yes, because we need to get control of the midfield plus I’m not sure he’s 100% fit, I’d bring him on in the second half, we need to keep the game tight, don’t think it matters too much because Eric is not repeating his Fa Cup win here and he might be sacked come Saturday Evening ?You’d drop Hojlund for Bruno?
That was the idea he was brought in for, I imagine (if we wishfully assume that the transfer was considered and driven by a tactical need). To be fair, I liked the new formation and thought it'd work, until it turned out Casemiro can't stay fit or sprint at all this season, and Amrabat couldn't adapt to the pace of the game. So, we had to go back to the 4-2-3-1 which none of our midfielders are well-suited for, and it leaves Mount without a natural starting place.Whatever was the plan with Mount?
Ten Hags number one target. 60mil. Only a year left on his Chelsea contract and a massive salary given. For that, you have to make sure he is starting every game.
Sure, he has been injured, but honestly dont see where he would get into the team, as he plays in the same, or a very similar position to Bruno.
Ten Hag wanted to play 2x8s, but soon abandoned that after getting cut open by Wolves, Forest and Spurs at the start of the season. You cant play two advances 8's with a DM that moves like a statue and a back four who backtrack as soon as we give away the ball.
Ten Hag had multiple positions to improve before buying Mount. Daft signing.
Ten Hag hasn't abandoned anything. We've been playing with a single DM and two 8's (honestly it's closer to two 10's) all season. Doesn't matter if the second player is McTominay, Mount or even Mainoo, they all end up pushing right up amongst the attack and leaving one midfielder alone. It's a big part of why we get cut through so easily.Whatever was the plan with Mount?

We don't play 4231 since last season. Maybe there were some odd games but our default setup is one midfielder + two guys running all over the place. That was the idea he was brought in for, I imagine (if we wishfully assume that the transfer was considered and driven by a tactical need). Eriksen is really the only one who sometimes stays back and makes it more of a midfield two, but in some of the games even he pushed up further than he was last season.
