So you believe greenwood is innocent, or not? Also, this is genuinely embarrassing: 'a few melted snowflakes and exploding from rage righteous wokies as negative impact.' Was something lost in Google translate?
It's not what I believe. It's what SJR and marketing team believes. Some people taking everything personally like they were repeatedly raped by MG. He was called rapist here so often that it's getting embarrassing. According to logic If some drunk grabs a hammer and threatens a person (screaming, cursing, pushing) then he is a murderer should spend rest of his life in prison.

No, no and no again - I don't defend him, I'm just talking about facts. And the fact is he is innocent according to law. On the other hand, according to public opinion... Well, that's another story.

And regarding "what kind of person I'm". Well, I'm kind of person that believes in second chances especially for young people. Cancel culture (look at level of hate here) is very strong in Western societies but I think common sense will win in this case.

Jesus :wenger: absolutely mind boggling stuff

Disgusting post. People can see right through the words you use and know exactly what kind of person you are. And I’m not even talking about calling an unconvicted man a rapist.
And we can see right through posters like you who defend a man who's done the things MG has, and trust me we know exactly what kind of person you are that would defend such a person.

Your argument is heavily flawed in the sense that you absolutely ignore the principles of rule of law.

A person has not been convicted of any crime. The alleged victim nor the accused ever made it to court for us to hear their side. No evidence was ever scrutinized in court yet some seem to think he is guilty...who proclaimed him guilty? In the eyes of the law he is innocent

As an example if I start reporting or posting online that you sexually assaulted me..I use AI to generate audio and pictorial evidence that seems to confirm your acceptance of sexually assaulting me, would you want us to automatically declare you as being guilty or you would want evidence input out scrutinized??

What exactly have I said to defend Greenwood? seriously would love to hear it. Otherwise, you’re talking out of your arse and judging by your recent posts in this thread that is likely the case.

It's fairly obvious your defending him, don't know why your trying to make out otherwise. And if you don't like my posts then put me on ignore, easy solution for you.

Some of these comments are tone deaf, ignorant and embarrassing and they seem to be escalating, I'd ask people to consider why some feel so strongly towards what we have witnessed, maybe read an article/report on domestic violence in the UK. I've tried to participate in this thread but as someone who has directly experienced domestic violence it's just becoming too grim, football should be a place to escape your troubles, not have them unapologetically paraded infront of you. Hopefully this comes to an end soon, in the meantime I'm muting this thread.

My brother in Christ. I don’t care if the poster called Mason a rapist or his neighbors grandma. I took umbrage to the poster referring to him as a thug which today is just a nominally polite way of using the N-word. It’s a racially charged word, no two ways about it. Whether it was toward Mason or any other person of color, my reaction would be the same. So if you want to jump on me for calling that out then by all means, but it doesn’t reflect well on you. Just goes to show what a complete circle jerk this thread has become.

Your 1st post in almost 2 years and this is what you come up with

So he scored I see, but instead of taking about that, it’s the same old high school bickering going on.

Such a terrible idea to remove the performance thread for this car crash.

Delighted he’s putting up good numbers, I really do think we may get 40+ for him if we play our cards right. He’d be excellent for Atletico.

I remember asking for a performance thread for the exact same reason you're complaining about. The problem is that the performance thread pretty much became this thread anyway so....

Just thread ban anyone who wants to talk case or wants to discuss bringing him back vs. not bringing him back.

Performance only or threadbanned, instead it’s a permanent car crash at the top of the forum rehashing the same stuff like it’s Groundhog Day for eternity.

Jesus going down the racism road now, fecking hell :wenger: the word thug is in no way a racially charged word in the context it was used in here ffs

He's playing professional football in Spain, he's back with his girlfriend. He's doing ok regarding second chances.

It would be interesting to see another poll if posters now think he will not be brought back into the fold next season or even if posters think that INEOS want to bring him back.

If we put all the bickering aside for a minute I'd say it's unlikely they bring him back in to the fold because, as I've said in this thread before, I can't see Ineos taking the risk when they've built up so much good grace with the fans with everything they've done so far, it'd be better to just get the problem out the door. Next season will be Ineos first proper full season at the reins of the club and they'll want things going as smoothly as possible, this whole MG thing just wouldn't help that at all. It'd be a PR nightmare, and it could cause real disharmony in the squad as well.

If I went to the first page of this thread there would be something similar to what you have posted and yet when the poll was put up it was in favour of bringing him back before it was brought down so I would be interested if the results have changed.

Oh yeh fair enough about the poll, I know that, what I'm referring to is purely what Ineos will want to do considering they'll want things to be as smooth as possible next season, and the noise around him coming back would overshadow everything and could derail the season before it even gets started, and I just don't think they'd want to risk that.

Please explain the bolded as it makes absolutely no sense. Re your point about him being innocent according to the law...no. Yet again, he's not 'innocent', he's just not guilty. I'm not sure how many times it needs repeating but a court of law requires a presumption of innocence. Two points: 1. A PRESUMPTION of innocence. Not an ASSUMPTION. Do you understand the difference between those two terms? 2. This isn't a court of law and we all make decisions every day without them being based on legally determined facts. It's part of being human. Your final jibe at western societies is quite telling. I take it we won't be seeing you cheering him on at old Trafford any time soon if he does come back then?

So are you saying you think she fabricated evidence? Because by bringing up AI that's what it seems like. If you're not, what relevance does your AI comment have. And do you think that Greenwood did it or that his partner lied about it? Because it seems you think it's the latter.

And the flip side of that is that they will not want to be seen as abondoning a young man that the club has had from an early age and will not give a chance for him to redeem himself and surely a poll would reflect that.

He's "redeeming" himself already in Spain though, still getting paid to play football at a high level, it's not like he's in a gulag or something. And anyway a poll of our opinions isn't going to make a blind bit of difference, Ineos will do whatever they want to do, a poll on the cafe isn't going to influence it.

Nonsense. They won't care a damn about the optics of 'seeming to abandon' an accused domestic abuser. They'll care about not wanting to lose money on their asset. Are you genuinely naive enough to think that the powers that be are bothered about ditching Greenwood because they worry that poor little mason will appear to be abandoned?!

True, but if it was not for the support of the Utd fans it would have been very hard for Beckham after the sending off for England in the world cup and the Ronaldo/Rooney sending off saga to play week in week out in England

Calm down mate, it is a point of view and one of many and just because you do not think it will not happen does not change that.

Because I don't think what will happen? I am not saying Greenwood won't come back, I'm saying that your reasoning for how they may justify it makes no sense.

C'mon now mate this is very very different, you can't compare what MG did to those very minor things. This is a whole different level.
