Martial exit?

His disastrous loan spell last year put paid to any chance of us ever been able to cash in on him.

If we could loan him with his wages taken care of by the loaning club that would be a great deal. So from that perspective I'd free transfer him now if possible. I just don't think he'll move now given he'll be in a better bargening position in July. So we'll pay him 6m more and that's that in all likelihood.

How come his form deteriorated so badly? I still remember the promising youngster

Injuries, mismanagement and seemingly lack of desire.

A lot needs to go right and be done right to become a top player, Martial is another "what could've been" case

I can’t imagine Martial is pushing for a loan or to be sold. He will get his best chance of a decent contract if he is a free against. The less he plays, the better he is because he is garbage on the field. Doubt he can afford to go on loan and perform like he did in Spain or he will be offered scraps. I’m sure an injury until April is about to happen in trainjng.

He seems to be heading to Fenerbahce. Not exactly the league you want to be at to play at the Euro's I'd imagine, no disrespect to the Turkish league at all.

That account credible? Surely he knows he's not getting into the French team and if by some outlandish reason he would he'd be the unused squad player. But I'd be positively surprised if he's got this level of sporting ambition though.

Of course if he finds his goals again he will be in the French squad they have shit options up front.

If he genuinely wants to be a good footballer for the rest of the season in order to be picked for France, then we should play him and rotate with Hoijlund. He still has more to offer for 6 months than whatever dross we would get on loan.

Rumours here that Rangers are getting Batshuayi from Fenerbache so would seem Martial goes in to replace him.

If we can get rid it'd be great. He can't be relied upon anyway, so it's not like we are missing anything if he goes.

He'd have to be available to play for that to happen. He hasn't offered anything for 2 years and you think the next 6 months will be any different.

We’ll send him to fenerbache, get Giroud or someone on loan and he’ll get picked for France ahead of martial anyway

Read the part of my post that you didn't bold

It's laughable because, he's barely available to play, hasn't been for years and the next 6 months will be different? Like Sevilla was different? It's clear he doesn't really want to play football, he's done shit all for the last 2-3 years. All the while he was too busy fecking around with other women behind his wifes back. He shouldn't even be given the option of being at the club for the next 6 months.

But that would be right level to him. He is a good baller, just injury prone with pretty weak attitude. Good 6-18 months in Turkey and it´s possible he will play in some top4 leagues again. Just not in top clubs.

28 years old on 250k a week. Should be the peak of his career and he’s going for almost a 10th of what we paid for him.

How he lasted so many years here only Joel Glazer knows.

Low IQ, low pain threshold, low everything apart from money. Can he even speak fluent English by now? Never heard him speak.

Even cheated on the mother of his children which tells us everything we need to know about the clown.

Dudes like Martial can’t even normally hold down an office job in the real world because he’s an idiot.

Maybe he's been told by the NT that he will be considered if he plays regularly for the next 5 months. I guess they would want to have as many options as possible when it's time to select the squad.

I wouldn't bet on him getting selected in the end, but on a pure technical level he's an interesting profile for France considering their main weapons are players like Mbappe and Griezmann, and they excel at playing off a selfless number 9 who can play back to goal and allow space when they bomb forward.

In my case I lost all faith in Martial doing anything at United ages ago and I would release him as soon as there's a chance, but from the point of view of Fenerbahce it wouldn't be a bad punt, even with the obvious risks involved.

We might as well keep him in the summer as we have no other options upfront right now and poor Rasmy isnt quite ready yet.

I disagree. He is awful and his poor mentality is the sort of thing we need to shift. Let him go for nothing.

This is all gearing towards a new contract isn’t it

It’ll just be on “vastly reduced wages” which are still probably double anyone else offered

We'd get more out of a striker that plays in the Championship. Just get these guys out of the club and start setting some real standards around the place in regards to expectations.

Injuries are to blame. In 18/19 he scored 10 goals and had 3 assists in 27 EPL games. 17 goals and 7 assists in the EPL in 19/20 and 23 goals and 12 assist all competitions. He wasnt even in his mid twenties at the time.

After that the injuries started and he never reached that level again. Its a shame people here act like he never achieved anything or never done anything for Manchester United. They are either too stupid to remember that time or their hatred for Martial has grown so much that they are willingly ignoring how good and promising he once was.

Im convinced that without those injuries and if he just kept developing even at a normal pace, he would be amongst the best forwards in the EPL. It really is a shame. I do agree that parting ways is the best option now. He is a shadow of the player he was or could have been.
