Martial exit?

What I liked about the report I read is that they have submitted their initial offer of €7M
How any offers are they planning on making exactly?

Selling him for 7m is a massive injection into FFP isn't it? His book value will be almost 0 now after so long here so it'll be purely profit on FFP.
Well, I doubt it's going to be a 7m direct deposit.

It is for the best that he leaves this month in my opinion. On top of his laundry list of injuries he just doesn’t give a feck and is clearly counting the days down as he counts the money from that stupid contract Woodward gave him.

Don’t believe it for a minute BUT I actually think the move would work well for Martial. The warmer weather might do his muscles good

If somebody is really is paying us 7MM for Martial, considering he hardly ever plays for us and is out of contract in June, we should THANK them profusely and hand-deliver Martial to them before they change their mind.

He was 99% gone for free. Are you kidding me? How are we even debating this

Yep, we can even get him gift wrapped for them at the megastore. :wenger:

I don't believe it either, really. But suppose it's true, what's in it for Martial? Wouldn't he be better served by either sitting on our bench for 6 months / going on loan and then being free to talk to whomever, including the Saudis?

The amount of hate he gets from Utd fans, most of whom have no idea about technical footballers, and watch the game by looking at stats only - is insane.

I really hope he leaves and goes to another PL team and shows these clueless fans that he was never the problem - but he was always the scapegoat.

When you have team mates who are selfish, lack intelligence, can not play ball to feet - there is nothing you can do to improve your numbers. Hoijland is finding this out as well.

In fact, we ruined the career of an excellent young forward like we are notorious for doing from the last 10 years.

Would be happy if the club gave him away tbh, free up the wage. Such a talented player, but either extremely fragile or just has the wrong attitude and willingness to fight for the team.

We'll find a way to negotiate them down to a loan with us paying half his wage.
Have patience

This is happening :wenger:

We keep talking our players down and getting crap money for them
Elanga went for only 15m and is now worth double that,
Martial should definitely be at least 20m

He’s worth absolutely nothing. Last year of his contract and is genuinely the most useless striker in the premier league based on his current form and fitness levels.

United should be snapping the hand off any club that offers money to take him off our hands.

I was a big fan in his first two seasons but there is no hope for this bloke....Get rid ASAP!

You aren’t serious, are you?

We’re going to have to bring in a striker on loan for the rest of the season. We’re probably going to spend the 7m and more in doing that but it’d be a statement to end Martials time here.

If we swap him out for a striker that is available every game then breaking even is a net profit. He won’t play many if any games for us between now and the end of the season

Like when he went to Sevilla and completely flopped?

If only football wasnt about one guy scoring more than the other guy huh?

He'll be released end of season. Between now and then I'd guess he'll make around five appearances, so we just need to get through it. We'll always have the debut goal, sadly his best moment in a Man Utd shirt. A bit like Antony, actually.
