Marquinhos

The Ligue 1 is the most physical league after the PL, so he wouldn't have any problem, only the intensity can be a worry.
He is 20 his growth is not finished.
He is excellent technically, pretty aggressive, uses is brain on the field and anticipate well.

Finally this is BS, the first to talk about this transfer were the 10sport, who are not reliable at all, PSG don't need to sell and probably don't want to.

Much like Anton Ferdinand.

You don't rate him or just being sarcastic?

One of the reasons PSG might want to sell is FFP, it depends on what they want to spend in the summer I guess.

It wont happen in january, and they will try to get rid of their big wages first, Cavani, Lavezzi, Thiago Motta.

They are going to be a lot harder to flog though, in fact I doubt they'd get rid of Motta at all given his age and experience. Marquinhos would fetch instant big money if we are the buying club.

Not really, they are probably returning to Italy, apparently Napoli and Juventus are interested, and PSG want to get rid of them so the fee won't be a problem.
For the wage, like always players will adapt their prices, one for PSG another one for a club they actually respect.

I think it wouldn't be too hard to sell Cavani/Lavezzi off? They're still very attractive options to smaller clubs even if their play have dropped off quite a bit. So not really a reason to sell off Marquinhos who has a great future ahead of him.

The thing with the fee is PSG may well be looking for a big sale so they can buy big, those 3 are not going to bring in huge money if Italy is their destination and PSG are actively getting rid. Players don't go for big fees to Italy anymore regardless as the clubs don't have the money, it's why even big clubs like Juve and Roma have multiple loan players.

Their problem with ffp is regarding the wage bill. They still have their big contracts with the qatarians.

Even if they only give them away it's 60m on a 3 years period.

Those 3 would cost PSG £60M worth of wages over the next 3 years?

Lets say they did just sell them for buttons, in the case of Cavani and Lavezzi they'd need to buy replacements, and those replacements aren't going to go there unless they are getting huge wages, that is the only reason PSG got the players they did, their willingness to overpay on the fees and wages. So it comes back around to a balancing act for them.

No only two of them cost 60m on three years, they are all around 10m/year.

And they just need to balance their bill they don't need more. If they sell Marquinhos they will need to replace him, now and they will need to find a replacement for Thiago Silva later, when they already have one, if someone wants Marquinhos it will be for a lot of money probably more than what Varane would cost.

Players like Laporte, Romagnoli, Varane, Hummels, Stones,Godin are cheaper than Marquinhos.

What about Marquinhos himself? He's very young but a player of his ability should be wanting to play a lot more than he has recently, especially when Silva and Luiz have been this poor.

He is playing, though.

But yeah, the only thing that could force PSG to sell is Maquinhos himself, but even that is not so sure, apparently he asked to go to Barcelona but the PSG refused. Only a very big offer will make them listening.

How would they not need more if they sold Cavani and Lavezzi? They are two of their main attackers and their only other #9 will be nearly 34 at come the start of next season. Maybe it would be cheaper to sell Maquinhos for a bi fee and find a replacement for him than trying to find two forwards. I'm not sure any of those (Sorry, never heard of Romagnoli) bar the two with buyout clauses would be cheaper, all have long term contracts with their current clubs who all know we have a lot of money.

He was playing, yes. He's been on the bench for the last 4 games in a row. It's quite clear that once Luiz and Silva are fit he's not getting a sniff in the side.

PSG refused +40m this summer, and they need less money this year.

Lavezzi and Cavani play on the left, normally behind Pastore in the pecking order, if Blanc had some balls. And like i said they have the money they just need to find player on cheaper wage, they don't need money for the actual transfer.

Are you a PSG fan btw?

See he played at RB for PSG this weekend. Didn't see much of it but he certainly seems athletic enough to get up and down the pitch well.

What's this deal likely to cost?

too much if PSG think Luiz is worth 50 Million

Exactly, knowing that Paris paid 36M-40M€ for him they won't sell him for less than 45M€, and even if they were willing to sell, I bet that it would be Thiago Silva who leave this summer Paris rather than Marquinhos

Interesting if they actually let Silva go. He's still a top defender but it does seem the logical choice. They won't be able to sell Luiz because of their price and Marquinhos is one for the future.

T.Silva is only the shadow of the player he was at Milan and during his first year at Paris. He regularly struggles against weak side. I mean it's more psychological than physical. He always claims that he miss Milan, but they won't have the money to spend.

It can be interesting to see if we're in for him if avalaible

If he is available he is exactly the type of CB we should go for....an experienced CB with leadership qualities who can play the ball from the back.

Plays RB and CB which would add to his usefulness in our injury prone squad. I get the feeling PSG would sell but are looking to use the sale to write off their ridiculous Luiz expenditure.

He's been good at RB in the last two games for PSG, I think he could provide LvG with a twofer.

LvG type of player that can play in multiple positions. Seen him at RB against St Etienne couple of weeks back. Looks natural to me in terms of going up and down that side of the pitch

#MUFC Strongly pushing for #Marquinhos. Discussions with the player's adviser. #PSG Proposed an extension.

If we fail in getting Marquinhos then John Stones should be our other CB target to join Hummels.
