why?

seriously why?
Hairstyles.

I'm underwhelmed by this signing, I didn't like the player when he was at Everton, I don't think he's all that and I hate how he spends his time elbowing people, and unless there's a radical change on his side, I'm not just going to change my opinion cos he's with us. Hopefully, the management knows what they're doing, I'll trust them on that, but I think we needed to reinforce much more than that this summer.

 Yeah, this summer showed that they do.

1. yes, but the money is spent now so got to forget what he cost and get behind him.
2. He'll end up with a pass completion rate of around 85-90% for us I reckon, not the most creative passer but he'll keep the ball well. Positional sense he can improve on as he gets more games in midfield.
3. We don't really have a style at the moment, in fairness. It's a pragmatic mishmash
4. can't really argue, hopefully he proves us wrong.

Exactly what I was thinking. Not fitting into our current substance over style approach would probably be a pro for me...

I'll say what I said last night, he's an overpriced squad player, he'll be another Ashley Young who will never justify his fee and wages here. It was a truly baffling signing considering it the cost, the timing and the apparent effect it had with other midfield targets.

I'll support him at the club, no doubt, and feck it, at least he's a midfielder, but I think this one is doomed before it even begins.
