I am happy about the signing but feel embarrassed about the way we handle the deal. It's mix feeling really.
Just, please no fecking wigs...
Yup welcome to United. All those who wonder why we did not activate the clause, we don't know what conditions came with the clause. If there was an obligation to give Everton a cut of the sell-on fee, would that not be a good reason not to activate the clause. Contracts can be complex people. Stop feeling embarrassed for nothing.
Welcome to the club, mic man! Hope you'll be a success.
And feck off Glazers, Woodward, and anybody associated with these horrendous bastards!
Fellaini cons:
2. Question marks over his passing ability and his positional sense.
So we got him when the Herrera deal fell through or was this supposed to happen simultaneously? He's pretty happy for someone who was blatantly our plan D.
It's his dream club. He always wanted to play for United since he was a child. He's pretty happy for someone who was blatantly our plan D.
Alongside one of them. Can't see how we play can play him deepest in a three man midfield on a regular basis. We simply don't have the midfielders for it.It will be interesting to see where we deploy him? As the deepest midfielder (DM), or alongside Carrick/Cleverley in a CM role.
Is that actually true? I like him a lot more instantly if that's the case. It's his dream club. He always wanted to play for United since he was a child.

That's what I read in the interview posted in one of the other Fellaini threads. Is that actually true? I like him a lot more instantly if that's the case.
Still baffled by the price mind you. For 27.5 million you usually get a top player.

There are some question marks over his passing. So I am not sure he would excel in a midfield two (I mean as a CM). He can be a DM though, with Clevz and Carrick alongside him.Alongside one of them. Fellaini: This is my dream
After completing his transfer from Everton, new signing Marouane Fellaini spoke exclusively to MUTV. Here's what the Belgian had to say...How do you feel now you’re a Manchester United player?I’m very, very happy. It’s a big moment for me. I waited for a long time, I’ve worked hard for this and I’m very happy to join this big club, this great club. I hope to do everything for this club. When you knew Manchester United wanted you, did you always want to come here?Of course. It’s the biggest club in the world so of course I wanted to join this club. I tried everything to join the club. What’s today been like? It went right for the deadline…It’s been difficult, a very long day. I waited to the end… I know the situation, but this day has been very long. You’ve played and scored at Old Trafford, but what will it mean to run out with a red shirt on?It’s a big stadium, a big club. I hope I can score a lot of goals for Manchester United. What do you hope you can achieve as a Manchester United player? When I was young it was a dream to play for Manchester United. Now I’m here so I’ll try to give my best to the club. I want to win trophies. That’s the most important thing.
Not everyone can nonchalantly stroll into a club and be pretty blasé about it all. He's pretty happy for someone who was blatantly our plan D.
feck off you cretin, take your whinging elsewhere.Thank god United went shopping to Lidl in terms of managers. If a real top manager was signed (ex Guardiola), Felliani wouldn't be here.
yes, play alongside with Carrick orIs that actually true? I like him a lot more instantly if that's the case.

Then I'm not sure why we've signed him apart from big games where we sit deeper. There are some question marks over his passing. So I am not sure he would excel in a midfield two (I mean as a CM). He can be a DM though, with Clevz and Carrick alongside him.

Cleverley will be our Iniesta. Then I'm not sure why we've signed him apart from big games where we sit deeper.
For a three man midfield to work, we need to have our iniesta in there to provide flair from that position. Arsenal have rosciky and Wilshere. Bayern played thiago and gotze recently. Carrick, Clevelrey and Fellani is pretty average ability on the ball in comparison. It's an option we can use but I don't see this as being the main plan.
I see him starting next to Carrick as a box to box midfielder who has to hassle and Harry off the ball and drive forward on it, with Carrick sitting and holding.
Playing him and Carrick in a midfield two will give us enough solidarity and we may be able to give Kagawa a more free role.

With Rooney still around ?
I think some of you will be surprised about how good he actually is. He's gotta great touch "for a big man", he's box-to-box & if he control that aggression of his - he'll be a great signin for us.
I aint comparing so stop right there, but Keano was never blessed with the most gifted footballing talents & he was very aggressive - probably more, but my God what a player he was for club & Country. Bloody legend of a player & Captain.
We've been cryin out for an mid-field enforcer for a good while now. We've only got light-weights in the middle of the park - bar Fletch, but we cant rely on Fletch to come back the same player he was nearly 3 years ago or is it 3 or more years ago - feck sake
Anyway, great to see he's buzzing like a kid at joining us. That's dying out amongst footballers, most of them couldn't give a shit where they play as long as they make as much money as they can. Must be pretty sweet for him & Bale to play for their dream-teams & earn a nice little crust also - lucky so & so's...
Yeah I agree. But it's better than Cleverley looking a bit lost in there.Cleverley will be our Iniesta.
On a serious note, I do think Fellaini and Carrick would work, but it would be similar to how Carrick-Fletcher operated. No creativity in the middle, Just 2 industrious midfielders shielding our defense and providing support to the wingers/forwards.
