I fecking love this guy, he doesn't give a damn what people thinks of him, he plays for his manager and he gives 100% every time he puts utd shirt on him. He was one of our best players in europa league with the highest ratings, he played great matches at semifinal and the final.

got a goal today... thread is quiet as a grave. People hate being wrong, especially when its over and over again

While I understand your sentiment, I'm not sure a preseason goal against Valerenga vindicates anybody.

It's not always quiet when he scores/does well though, half the time last season after a good outing from him, you'd have posters in here literally angry he played well for us, truely baffling stuff.

He's not every bodies cup of tea but he definitely gets treated unfairly.

He was MOTM by miles in the cup final against Ajax and has been pretty solid for us most of the season apart from 2 silly mistakes.

He seems to have cut out the silly elbows and rash challenges also which is a massive bonus.

I don't love him but you can't fault his attitude. After this summer his price tag doesn't seem too bad either.

I do remember him being quality for Everton and an absolute nightmare to play against. Good man management from Jose too.

And to be honest, when he nutted Aguero he went up in my estimation.

BBC posted this comparison. Fellaini is there on the top of them

Absolutely. He's one of my favorite players. I really don't know why so many hate him because he is not the only impediment to their dream of "champagne football".

If this is to be his last season, I hope he plays an important role and wins a trophy or two with us before he goes.

If he does, then they'd be no reason to get rid of him the following season.

How nice would it be for him to win the PL with us. One of the few players that would have finally "made it" despite sticking with us from the start of our dark ages.

How people dislike this guy, I will never know.

Put it this way. If Matic came on and put in that performance, people be going crazy.

Superb performance by the big man.

Matic is a big upgrade, fellaini will be used in moderation this year which will probably make him more effective.

A lot of people in here don't really watch matches. What they write in these pages (pages and pages of it) has no actual relation to the actual gameplay. They write to re-inforce their own belief system. That system says - Fellaini is crap.

Have to agree, he was very good. Looks confident, like Mourinho had injected a bit of self belief into him.

Won the ball back superbly quite a few times and his feet looked much better.

Hopefully that sense of chemistry will carry on to competitive season. Personally would like to see him more in oppo's box to create chaos and occasional gain for other strikers, but so far looks miles ahead in preparation than Blind or Linde.

Spot on. Its strange cause given his do or die no nonsense approach you'd have thought he'd be a fan favourite. Sad cause he could score a hatrick in the CL final and he'd still be the most hated player on here.

That's nonsense if he played to a high standard consistently no one would complain. It's not his fault but he hasn't been good enough and he should play less often.

Along with likes of lingard, blind and darmian he underlines why we have spent four years struggling to get in the top four, if those guys are regularly in starting 11 something has gone wrong.

Shouldn't be a starter here but also shouldn't get slated the way he does. Nice and decisive again today

He is an asset as a squad player but when he is treated as some Messiah is when the problem starts. He should no way start ahead of Herrera, matic and pogba. He has hos role but not as a starter, a cameo appearance here and there is what he should be given.

Well played tonight big fella. Don't want as a starter but I'm delighted he is staying, he is more than good enough to be a squad player.

Is it wrong that Fellaini is moving up in the list of my current favourite United players?

There's something about the way he's gritting his teeth and pulling out top performances despite being nowhere near as talented as the competition for his place in the team that's very endearing. I think he's earned a place in our best XI and anyone else with their eye on that place needs to up their fecking game. For which he deserves huge credit.

Yep nonsense......I'll stick Jose's view the idiot.
