We have a player like Fellaini and sometimes we're reluctant to get the ball in the box. Get the ball into the box and there's a good chance he'll win the header, hopefully resulting in a goal like we saw today. Very good header from Fellaz.

Fellaini is a big lurker that unfortunately we need. Can't stand the guy, plays ugly football, slows us down, fouls.

So you asked me to furnish you with 'fake facts' that I'd put on here? Cause you couldn't find any yourself.

Just don't bite then, stick to running the Fellaini fan club if you can see past your Afro-wig.

Yes, I couldn't find it because it was fecking made up by you, I take it it's too difficult for your brain to process though.

And about me not biting, just how about you don't come here constantly shitposting instead. If you're saying that I'm taking the bait, it means that you're wumming which is well against the rules here.

Funny how we started to really tear them apart when he went off. Goal or no goal our play is so ponderous and predictable with him in midfield.

This is just unfair.

We were 2-0 up when he was subbed and Wigan have basically given up on the game. It was Fellaini's goal that broke their resistance just before half time. I can't understand how you couldn't find something more positive to say about the guy who scored the first goal.

Couldn't find my "made up fact" that you say I post... how very Trump-esque of you!

Just as well Schweinsteiger scored that 'critical' 4th goal. That's how it works right!?

changed nothing. Herrera was barely involved in any of our counters since then
like if he has to be directly involved, Herrera's starting positioning and movement is different level to Fellaini.. the game was won after 2:0 though but we gained what we needed and that was control...

He's a pointless player he may score a goal here and there but without him on the pitch we create 3/4 times more chances, he shouldnt be anywhere near the first team. Problem is when he's in the squad he will always tempt managers to play him for various reasons and then he can cost us points like that penalty or the game against Stoke in which our midfield was total shit with him like always.. it's always the same with him..

its not like he started in the CL final. A fourth round tie vs a team who is in relegation zone in the championship.

plus everton game is the only game he cost us points.

He plays well and people still moan. The poor guy just can't get a break, he's been playing well for us recently.

Two tags in a day... flattered.
Being trolled by a person who has Fellaini as their highest rated player.
I rate players according to how I see it. One thing for sure: I won't come to this forum and complain about a player who scored our opening goal like you did. He scored against Hull, his header led our equaliser against Liverpool and his goal today opened our account. Three different managers (two of them very proven) trust him, and so maybe there is something about him that you can't or unwilling to see?! Just maybe.

You're inferring causality between Fellaini being subbed and we scoring two goals without taking other factors into consideration. That is wrong!

He started today, we gave Carrick (as well as Pogba and Zlatan) some rest, we scored two goals with him in the team and we ended up winning 4-0. We should be pleased with that and look forward to the next match... instead, you choose to complain!

it's not like he cost us games directly as I said, we can simply play much better without him. FOsu Mensah could easily play in the middle of the pitch today..

He didn't play well, though. He was very poor. He slowed down the ball and gave it away in dangerous positions on a number of occasions. He was playing in central midfield and did none of the things expected of a good central midfielder.

Why is it people accept shite performances just because it's Fellaini and the expectations are suddenly lowered?

Even Fellaini would agree he wasn't very good.

He's not the best in centre midfield sure but when he plays higher up the pitch he can be very effective.

You've commented on a post I've been tagged in, knowing little, or caring little of the initial context.

I am pleased we proceeded like always when we win. Still my prerogative to think some of our players are more limited than others. None-the-less If you genuinely rate Fellaini as our best player this season, then this conversation is over.

which is what mourinho does too? everyone knows that carrick herrera and pogba are the first choice. thats probably for a reason. They cant play all games in the season though. fellaini is an able backup in games they are rested or to come on to defend a lead.

Fosu mensah is not going to play under mourinho in midfield. Would be surprised if he even played much beyond the cup games

I also got nothing to discuss with a poster who couldn't find something positive to say about Fellaini today.

Other than the goal he was awful, should never be used in two man midfield, but goal changed the game so he deserves credit for that.

*apology. Singular.

As above

*apologies
I was referring more than one thing remember? "You were acting like a kid" and "your ironic post".

How was it any more crucial than the other 2?!

We aren't on Martial or Pogba's thread trying to shoehorn more praise than necessary.

Clearly you didn't get the point that @Annihilate Now! was trying to say.
And also did I say it was "more" crucial?

My MOTM. Did very little wrong and came up with the goal that changed the game. Ok if we are playing Barca in the CL final, then he's not necessarily the player for that game but a sign of a useful player, I'd rather he played for us than play against him. We've found this out when we had a better team and he played for Everton...

Took his goal well but I still think he was poor in the first half. He does not give any control when he plays in that midfield two and frankly we have more talented players to play in the front 4.

If that's the only thing you can say then I take it as your apologise for acting like a kid.

*apologies

Nope, the sentence, indeed the post in its entirety was singular, hence "apology".

Anyway, you rate Fellaini - I don't. No point debating any further, its turning into a Trump-style twitter exchange.

Onwards and upwards.

:lol::lol:

Apart from a few good performances, he didn't play well for Everton against us. We had Anderson and Cleverley run rings around him. It was when he played high up the pitch and we had Michael Carrick as a cb that we struggled...

Apart from a few, that's more than most. Anderson and Cleverley....well your argument goes downhill from there on. Felliani will never be good enough for most on here irrespective on how he plays and always one step away from the idiots that boo their own player...

His goal wasn't really a surprise. If you put in good crosses, players who are good in the air will get goals. If we managed to cross better at the far post where Fellaini invariably ends up, he would have a few more goals.

Nice header, and good movement and strength, which is what you want to see when hes in the oppositions box. But imo hes not a midfielder. Hes more of a second striker than anything else.
I still think we play better football when hes not on the pitch, but him being a plan B or C or whatever is not the worst thing either (as shown against Liverpool).
