Marko Arnautović | United have pulled out

Yes we did sign him before the verdict. That case was going on for years. If he was found guilty we would have kicked him out.
Is your issue with arnautović that he racially abused someone or that he was convicted for it ?

Tbh I guess it’s a pointless debate as I really don’t see someone can be morally outrage over signing arnautović while jumping joy when we signed Ronaldo.

But whatever I guess.

If this correct, ETH should resign. Purely and simply to retain a degree of self respect.can you imagine Conte accepting this from Lewis & Dan?

This happens all the dam time with this club, we show a complete lack of pro activity in the market and think we can get by for another season with average players and then the new season starts and reality hits hard and the club go in to panic mode with irrational singings.
I'm sure we'll end up making our obligatory deadline day panic signing. Someone random like Danny Welbeck or Davy Klaassen.

Honestly take Bebe back before this prick. It’s got to be a wind up as there is no way a man known for his preparation and diligence when signing a player would go for this clown. No way.

Well he is younger than Benni McCarthy and Tom Huddlestone so we are working our way down the age table

Finally some sense in the media, about this backing the manager nonsense.
How other clubs “back the manager” = put the infrastructure in place with people whose role it is to specifically scout and target multiple players that will fit the play style of the manager and the ethos of the club.

How we “back the manager” = aimlessly approach players that he directly want, irrespective of whether they were players originally scouted or considered by the club. Happening with ten Hag, happened with Ole. We spent two years chasing Ole’s key target in Sancho only to realise we still don’t know how to play best to his strengths or how he best fits

I've now calmed down a bit and Arnautovic isn't that bad tbh. He has a decent record in Italy and PL experience too. Coming off the bench won't be the worst thing in the world.

We should be more ambitious though we are supposed to be one of the richest clubs in the world.

Your argument makes no sense. This isn’t a one off incident with Arnautovic. We complain about Ronaldo not pressing enough but has anyone ever complained about his work ethic? You really need to read more. Just a simple google search means you could have educated yourself more. Here, I did that for you: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.da...Arnautovic-long-history-shocking-moments.html

On top of all this he isn’t coming here on a free. Not only will we pay north of €10m but wages on top of that. He is 33. He isn’t going to be improve us one bit. We will be adding players for the sake of it. These shoetc term solutions have never worked for us yet for some daft reason we continue to employ them.

if this is our off the wall signing I give up, 33yo dog shit player. Christ let’s get neves to play alongside Fred and go all in on the bs

City win the league sign Haaland,
Liverpool win the league cup fa cup champions league finalist and finish 2nd buy Nunez. Arsenal sign Jesus, Chelsea sign Sterling and we have a bid rejected for 33 year old Arnautovic. That’s where we are and that’s down to our owners

13 goals isn’t exciting me pal. You really don’t want to delve into his numbers either he’s hit double figures about 3 times in his career.

Im not arguing with somebody who wants Marko fecking Arnautovich anyway you do you.
Cool, let's stick to what we have then. We'll be fine.

How is it down to our owners that we are bidding for Arnautovic?

City also with Alvarez. A player we could for certain made good use of now...

Do you guys know if United fans on twitter etc are kicking up a storm with this? I'm not on these platforms hence my question.

I've read just now some other stuff about him and this guy is hella problematic.... can't believe club/ETH (specially) could possibly think this is ok?

You write for the daily mail ? But seriously yeah the guy is a massive prick and has been a racist cnut a number of times but well the club last season signed Ronaldo. Any sort of moral outage is gone. It’s as simple as that.

It’s worked a number of times in the past tbh. He will be a backup option. If it fails then yeah it will be all on Ten Hag but atm the guy has been here for a few months, kind of have to back the manager here.

We all need to bombard united social media right now to stop this double feck of a situation. His questionable attitude on race issues and his bloody awful football performances....what on earth is going on at the club!

There's always that tendency to say about "enfant terribles" that they make up for it with moments of magic. But it doesn't apply to every one of them.

Cantona had magic. Zlatan had magic. Maradona had magic.

Arnautovic doesn't have that magic. He has a toxic personality and his skills don't make up for it, not even remotely. He is not that talented, never was.

Is this happens I’m not bothering to tune in this season. What an absolute farce. I’m damn lucky I don’t contribute one penny to the club. That’s not changing…

Even 7.6 million just seems a random number plucked out of the sky, just like our transfer targets

He hasn't actually been bad the last years but he's simply no solution for us with his age

No we won't be fine, but neither will we be fine signing dross like Arnautovic. We need quality not quantity
It's not about quantity.

It's about getting players in who will work hard and have the right attitude to push the others in the right direction.
As a third choice striker we could do alot worse than Marko.

I can't think of a player with a worse attitude to throw into our dressing room as it is right now. Balotelli perhaps?

I'm not on twitter either anymore but I think it's a pretty safe bet they are if I know that platform.

Really? You don't watch the games then?

Where's Richie lambert these days. The glazers must be pool fans and they are getting their own back on us for the 90s. Really slow and painful death for utd is the way to do it.

There are plenty of crap hard working players in the lower leagues we could sign if that's all we're looking for.

You're just trying to fool yourself here. Don't know why, but thats your perogative. Arnautovic is scraping the bottom of the barrel and the backlash to this is evident of how poor this reflects on United.

Ok I hope so. Not against signing another striker, but pretty sure there are other players out there. This guy is just no.....

I also hope ETH really hasn't indicated that he likes his 'character' cause that would make me very nervous and start to wonder what exactly are ETH's values if he doesn't see anything wrong with that player's character.

Cool, let's stick to what we have then. We'll be fine.

Why have you settled though? you seem happy with Arnautovich like we haven’t had all summer to sign an attacker

Whats next? Let’s sign Longstaff for the midfield because it’s better than nobody?

Filling the squad with bang average talent on over inflated wages once again, hey it’s worked in the past let’s do it again!
