Marcus Rashford (out) | signs for Villa on loan

Sorry but that is absolute nonsense. If he’s put 10x the effort in training as he puts in on the field it’s not enough and we know he’s a lazy arse in training because Amorim has called him out for it.

Not nonsense at all. We are evidently going through a massive financial restructure and are looking to move on all our biggest earners. Rashford has done himself no favours whatsoever, but he's currently demanding a world class wage and delivering very little. If he was on 100-150k, which is probably closer to his real value, then he'd probably still be in contention.

Delighted he's gone. He's a disgrace.

The lack of effort and professionalism is a joke.

Hope he does well enough that villa pay the fee and then he falls into obscurity.

Hope he gets a shocking reception when he
Plays against us. Deserves all the stick he gets.

The money has made him difficult to shift. That’s the only significance of his wage. If he was on a lower wage we’d have sold him last summer.

Will that even happen given he's on loan?

He’ll press every United player like his life depended on it, rather than letting Casemiro walk round him at will like he did when Ross Barkley turned him into a meme.

So fecking surreal seeing that
This would be a hard one to explain to people if you went back in time a couple of years to when he was on his way to banging in 30 goals

I don’t think it’ll work out, but best for everyone if he does well. United need a replacement

I did read an article today that is Sir Jim behind forcing him out of United and not Amorim.

I hope that's not true as it doesn't reflect well on the club or Amorim if the owner is having that much say on who pays or doesn't

Got a link to it? Interested to see how they come to that conclusion given how outspoken Amorim has been about him.

The whole thing has been bizarre.
Local lad, dreamed of playing for United, was well up the all time scorers list. Played through that season his back was a mess, in a marked contrast to Martial who seems to miss games for minor knocks constantly.
Superb season 2 years ago.

Then seemed to just stop trying, constantly getting reprimanded for meals and nights out at stupid times, and now this.

Truly bizarre. Wonder if we'll hear what was behind it all in his book in a few years.

Go flourish Marcus so we can recoup a fee and your wages off the book this summer.

If he does do well he might even have a complete career reset and sort out his issues with the club. He just needs to recover his mojo for football.

Can't help but be sad seeing that.

Not saying that it didn't have to happen, but still.

Yeah same. For the best for everyone involved, but still sad
Maybe I'm just cold hearted and a grumpy old bastard but is it really that sad? Why? Because he said he was a boyhood fan of the club? The lad barely did anything to help us and only seemed to put in the effort whenever our fortunes were on the up.

Feck him, and feck his Instagram. And feck City while we're at it. Bunch of cheating cnuts.

Sad because I remember the hype when a youngster broke through, scored vs Midgetland and Arsenal and quickly established himself as a first team player. Just the romantic of an academy player making it, looking like becoming a worldbeater for a while. Of course he's been a lazy prick the last years and it's high time he got booted, but looking back a few years, it was easy to be hopeful about him.

And feck City.

Well yeah, because when he came through and for a few years after you were like - this lad is going to be doing the business for years and years to come.

It can be his fault that that's not happened and still be sad.

In a way, it’s a shame that it has come to this. Rashford should have been a big player for the club and stayed for the rest of his career or at least spent his prime years here.

But I don’t see how we had any other choice than to let him leave, albeit only temporarily at the moment. He just has not performed for the club at all, on top of that, his head is always down, he sulks and doesn’t put the work in. In fact, he’s just stank all the while earning 300k a week. I hope he is able to rediscover his talent away from the pressure cooker of Utd, for his benefit as much as ours.

Honestly don't think he's capable of putting in a proper shift anymore.

Ok INEOS. You don't need to keep the secret now. The deal you've had under wraps waiting for Rashford to move on....

Now you can make the big reveal

We're due new Piers Morgan interview so..

It says a lot about modern football that some united fans are "delighted" Rashford has gone. This isn't how it was supposed to be for him, and it's actually really sad.

He has no-one to blame but himself.
