Was playing as a sulky cnut. Was he playing as a creator or front forward?

The way the media puts a positive spin in what he does reminds me of late-stage Rooney. Rooney however had built up far more good credit.
Created 6 chances against Latvia in 79 minutes.
Creating loads for Villa and currently has 4 assists in 9.
But yeah, he has no end product
Isn't one of his assists just him not scoring a free-kick?
He has 3 assists , hitting a free kick where the keeper pushes it onto the crossbar where the follow up is scored is not an assistIsn't one of his assists just him not scoring a free-kick?
I don't know if you've watched the game but you shouldn't trust that number. One of those chances, for instance, was an 'attempt' on target - he sliced it so wide, it went almost tangential to the direction he wanted and landed right at a teammate's feet, who had a shot at goal. Using this game as a marker to argue against lack of end product, especially when Eze came on and immediately got a goal from the left, is not the best idea.
I think he's playing well at Villa and has good chemistry with Asensio, by the way - stats don't show how good he's been there, especially from set pieces. But 0G/4A in 9 games (all assists for Asensio, btw) for a star forward out there to prove doubters wrong isn't exactly making the argument you think it is. For comparison, Garnacho - a player we criticise for lacking end product - is on 1G/3A and Dalot - our RWB/LWB is on 2G/2A across United's last 11.

His cult is wild. I have a hard time believing it’s not the fault of twitter. So polarising.Every time Rashy controls a ball or actually runs a bit for a change, his fanboys are so proud.
You guys are weird.
Except Lingard always put workrate in no matter whatIt feels like Lingard all over, just that Rashford was a better player for MU off course.
True, because Lingard seemingly knew his limitations. If only Rashford knew his own.Except Lingard always put workrate in no matter what
Whilst I don’t disagree with you about most of your comments, how can a 27 year old athlete lose his pace. We saw in the CL the other day where he created mayhem with a blistering run from out to in from a Martinez Goal kick.A very average performance from Rashford, he looked dangerous in the positions he got himself into.
However; when it came to doing something, he was poor, end product was not there, he tried and failed really.
He also seems to have lost his pace, where he used to be able to hit and run down the line, it seems he struggles with that now.
Whilst I don’t disagree with you about most of your comments, how can a 26 year old athlete lose his pace. We saw in the CL the other day where he created mayhem with a blistering run from out to in from a Martinez Goal kick.
When you play against a team in an ultra low block, there’s simply less space to explode into and every time he got the ball, he was doubled up on. If he has appeared to be slower, than this is more likely they way he’s been partying for the last two seasons and drinking which he’s rumoured to do, maybe something in this when Amorim said ; “He didn’t like they way Rashford lives his life outside of the game?”
He’s not 27 until later this year, he needs a huge detox, told that he can not drink at all or he will not be considered for the England Squad and he needs a transfer away from United to either Barcelona or Birmingham which for a single man with that much money is a recipe for disaster!
Fergie would have made Marcus an absolute world beater, Mourinho didn’t have the patience for him, LVG and Ole loved him and ETH indulged him far too much.
There was a cult of Pogba and Martial as well. Every time I saw it I thought it's surely kids/teenagers, otherwise it's just weird. His cult is wild. I have a hard time believing it’s not the fault of twitter. So polarising.

This is such a lazy comment/insight. PSG might have wanted him a few years ago, but have shown absolutely no interest in him in the 2.5 years since, in fact they have distanced themselves. Not that he is a superstar, but PSG has moved away from the model of signing the biggest names in the game. And most importantly, they have Kvara and Barcola playing in his position, both of which are much better players than Rashford.Paris Saint Germain have to stump up the cash. They wanted Rashford for as long as four years now. They cant simply back out of the deal.
He was 80 raising to 120mil shot at the time but Woodward declined. Also Rashy was not sure about the move.
Now Marcus wants to go, an agreement between PSG and United should be done at 60mil+. Its your turn, Berrada.
What's the difference between a cult and people who just admire certain players or want them to do well? There was a cult of Pogba and Martial as well. Every time I saw it I thought it's surely kids/teenagers, otherwise it's just weird.
Some people might just want players on our books to do well for obvious reasons. There was a cult of Pogba and Martial as well. Every time I saw it I thought it's surely kids/teenagers, otherwise it's just weird.
Mourinho wanted to sign Sinisa Mihalovic, not the club, and we had him linked with us for 3 managers post Mourinho, it's just lazy journalism that anyone who follows football with any level of detail should be able to spot and not fall for or perpetuate those rumors.

that free kick specialist who was about 5 years younger than Mou? surely not?
Sorry mate, it was a tonque in cheek comment. Im sure the mods are already looking for my shite sarcastic posts. This is such a lazy comment/insight. It's like the current links for De Jong to United, once a player get a credible link to a club they become attached to that club for eternity, even when the circumstances around the club or player have changed drastically. Ten Hag wanted De Jong, he's gone, no one should ever believe a link between United and De Jong. PSG has changed their entire model, they have changed managers, Rashford has been shite for a couple years, there is nothing similar now to then about the situation between Rashford/PSG.
Mourinho wanted to sign Sinisa Mihalovic, not the club, and we had him linked with us for 3 managers post Mourinho, it's just lazy journalism that anyone who follows football with any level of detail should be able to spot and not fall for or perpetuate those rumors.
haha, my bad, Sergey Milinkovic -Savic.that free kick specialist who was about 5 years younger than Mou? surely not?
My point is I believe he still has raw pace which can be triggered but if your out get drunk every night your not playing your body starts to Diminish , but at 26/27 your body also still has the ability to regenerate that’s why you see an awful lot of 100m sprint kings peaking at 28-32.There are various reasons a 26 year athlete can lose pace, injuries being one of them and Rashford has had a few. He can create mayhem but you don’t pay an athlete 300k to create Mayhem.
So you are asking me how an athlete can lose pace, but in the 2nd paragraph have answered your own question.
Fergie would have got rid of him, he is complete the opposite player Fergie wanted. Fergie preferred players who had settled lives out of football, not party animals and that has been evident from the players he got rid of because of their off field activities.. e.g Beckham.
And somehow certain MU fans fooled themselves into thinking that 30 goals a season was the norm for Rashford now and not the other way around....Has he scored a goal since December? He seems to have done well for Villa and England but I think the problem with Rashford has always been the contract that places huge expectations for elite level performances, which he arguably was putting in in EtH's first season. His last four seasons are looking like this:
5 goals- 32 games
30 goals- 56 games
8 goals- 43 games
7 goals (so far) - 33 games
Those are not great numbers really. If he gets to 15 goals this season he will have done well at this rate.
Agree on these points but add one more,It's been obvious that he's lost pace for a few years now. Go back and watch footage from four or five seasons ago and he was electric. He'd streak away from defenders when the ball was played through. Now he doesn't even back himself to knock the ball past average paced defenders and win the foot race.
As to how it happens that's up for debate but injuries, nights out on the town and not putting 100% effort in in training don't help a player maintain their physical gifts.
As you say, if he knuckles down and cleans up his act he possibly could get some of that back but I'm not so sure.
Quite easy really, if they've hit the scene very young, and played 100s of games and had some injuries.Whilst I don’t disagree with you about most of your comments, how can a 27 year old athlete lose his pace.
Yeah, possibly. He's young enough that he can reinvent his game...
Yep good point but neither Rooney or Owen were blessed with the natural physique or athleticism of Rashford, he’s brittle mentally compared to both of those players.Quite easy really, if they've hit the scene very young, and played 100s of games and had some injuries.
Also because people are talking that absolute top end game changing pace. He's still "fast" of course, but doesn't seem to be as fast as before, when he could demolish almost anyone for speed.
Lost confidence or trying to play differently are other aspects of course but you just have to look at Owen or Rooney and ask were they as quick at 27 as they were at 17.
Pogba and Martial were during spells our best players and highly entertaining. It makes sense that a portion of fans would like them. There was a cult of Pogba and Martial as well. Every time I saw it I thought it's surely kids/teenagers, otherwise it's just weird.
