Absolute wimp.

Amazing strike for the goal, but everything else was embarrassing. Two golden opportunities fluffed, then his dive cost us a goal.

He did use to get two buses across the city for training as a kid though, so how dare I criticize him.

The press will no doubt claim he ‘answered his critics in the best way’ due to the goal, when in reality he was diabolical….again.

Not a great performance, goal aside, but he’s 100% clipped by Walker just before their goal, and he’s not being “soft”, he’s running at full pelt and his leg gets clipped, it’s impossibly hard to stay on your feet in such a situation. Whether it’s a foul or not is a different debate.

Sky Sports discussed Rashford for a good 5+ mins in the post-match punditry and didn't show a single replay or even mention the two big chances he messed up.

Only discussed the goal and his 'ability'. Clearly being protected from criticism.

We might have missed the window for parting ways while gaining a significant sum and what a shame as I genuinely thought he took the next step in becoming a world class player last season but now it seems it was all for naught.

The goal makes the subsequent 60 minutes of pulling out of every 50/50, no effort to track back and losing the ball with every free touch seem even worse.

How do you create such a huge moment early in a derby game and shrink so much so quickly?

Agree with the general consensus, fantastic goal and feels a bit of a dig knocking someone with such a game changing moment. but bar the goal, he was still jumpin gunder headers, failing to track back, not running at defenders or running into them and poor touches.

There is no doubt he has quality, no doubt he loves the club....but that is irrelevant without consistent performances. Today reminded me of a lot of Fernandes performances a couple of years ago that got him plaudits, poor performance but one huge moment of quality gives him some stats and lots of plaudits when the reality is he really wasnt very good over 90mins.

As frustrating as he can be I think we need to stick with him for one more season. Get the right manager in and I think we'll see him at his best. If not move him on

Everyone is the right manager when they come in and big him up. Same thing happened with Pogba. “You can’t just be a luxury player” Manager loses dressing room. Manager gets sack. It’s on owners or now DOF to root out longstanding issues. Rashford and Martial are head of the queue. Lindelof Maguire McT Dalot and Bruno next. Some are salvageable some definitely are not

Nah. He’s clearly not good enough. City, Real, Barca, Bayern, would have sold him for maximum profits by now.

Scored a worldie, but then so did my mate James last week. Rest of the game was anonymous.

Time for him to go.

He's not winning us any league tbh. Too temperamental, too big time vibes, too inconsistent.

Big offer comes in £70m + - take it.
I think you might be overvaluing your mate James a bit there.

Great goal, most of his other touches and passes were poor. 5/10 performance with a 12/10 goal bumping it up to a 6

Great goal but another shitshow of a performance. I have zero faith him doing anything when he has the ball and needs to pass or dribble.

He can’t think and play. When it’s instinct then he does well. But the minute it requires thought, time , and/or patience his limitations become exposed.

Get his goal video clipped and sent to PSG quick-smart. Sell sell sell.
His performance today was like his career in 90mins. A flash of absolute insane brilliance and then fumbling, moaning inconsistency for the rest.

God he is rubbish isn't he? 5% decent, 95% horrid. The audacity to put do that article like he's prime bloody Messi leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Clearly thinks he's better than he is.

And we're paying him 350k a week   :wenger:

We are being outplayed for 90 minutes, barely have an attack all game and people blame Rashford - who played injured - and who actually did something in attack. This thread is an embarrassment.

He got cleaned far more than any other Utd player. He worked less. He pulled out of everything. He gets paid the most and stuck a straight shot into the top of the goal after Bruno who is tiny held the defender off. You guys are at this point and kind of enabling the shite that we see here year after year. The bottling.

Today was quite the perfect encapsulation of the total conundrum that is Marcus Rashford. He can deliver you those moments of madness like that goal, but he will play like absolute shit for the rest of the game. That's the sign of a player who is satisfied with very little and who will not seek for more; that is what differentiates top players from the rest.

The fact that Rashford missed those 2 big chances and then went down instead of forcing Walker into committing a more obvious foul, that's a big chunk of the bag of reasons as to why we lost today. If he scored one of the 2 chances and if he lured Walker into commiting something more egregious to draw a red card, we would be talking about a very different result now.

I don't care what amount of PR he makes nor how tough of a childhood he had. What will make people love a player is how hard he will play the game on the pitch. Wayne Rooney used to try anything to make his team win, whether that's by scoring goals, by assisting for other players or by sticking a tackle through the nearest motherfecker to drive the adrenaline up for the whole team. Too bad that Rashford never learned that part from Rooney.

Scored one of the best goals of his career.

After that, he got back and filled holes defensively, possibly should have done better when he was through, but that ball took a weird bounce. Went down too easily in that break right before they scored, he really needs to be stronger on those situations.

The reality is, that was just another standard Rashford performance.

Yikes. Is that really an every touch compilation? One absolutely world class touch and almost every other one was absolute garbage.

No, it’s some scumbag who seems to post the same type of compilation after every match. It’s never the good stuff. Just the standard type of things which every LW will have interspersed with their good play every game.

Even then, it clearly shows him winning a throw in high up the pitch that somehow wasn’t given to us and two fouls on him by Walker that, again, weren’t given to us as examples of apparently poor play.
