Should have started the game, to be honest.
Thought we were a lot better when he came on.
Thought we were a lot better when he came on.
The one time he finally attacks the right area as a 9 he misses a sitter. Rest of the time he’s just hiding on the wings popping it around in circles like the rest of the lads.
That miss was criminal.
A top finisher would have also finished themselves when he went past Pope.
He’s not a top finisher. He’s an inside forward who can pop up with 15/20 goals and 10ish assists a season. He’s never going to be clinical. That miss was criminal.

Fred should’ve buried that open goal.
Silly post. He's been great recently and made us ten times more threatening when he came on.Should have cashed in when we had a chance
Fred's chance ended up being much bigger than Rashford's was from that angle, so I'd say he did the right thing.Could he have passed the ball into the net when he rounded Pope? I think he should at least have tried - but Fred has to be scoring that.
That's a criminal miss by him in stoppage time as well. His finishing today and against Omonia was abysmal.
The Fred chance was definitely the easier...but it's Fred.Fred's chance ended up being much bigger than Rashford's was from that angle, so I'd say he did the right thing.
He'll never be a #9Those are the ones he has to score if he wants to be 9
Any decent inside forward would be burying that header, there's no defending that. Come on now. The job of any forward is to score goals. He’s not a top finisher. He’s an inside forward who can pop up with 15/20 goals and 10ish assists a season. He’s never going to be clinical.

Oh calm down. All footballers miss chances at some point...this is melodramatic nonsense. He should have scored it, yes, but it happens. We looked more dangerous when he came on.An absolute howler of a miss at the end from Rashford. I can't imagine how someone who plays football for a living can be so bad at it and still get paid a fortune. Fred's miss a few minutes before that was equally embarrassing.
Well that's my point. The balls in behind and scoring 1 v 1s are his bread and butter but it's the good movement in the box and getting onto the edge of cross that makes a good 9 a great one. He just simply has to score. He'll never be a #9

It's a shame he missed that header but what a difference it made to have an actual weapon on the pitch.
