Should have started the game, to be honest.

Thought we were a lot better when he came on.

An absolute howler of a miss at the end from Rashford. I can't imagine how someone who plays football for a living can be so bad at it and still get paid a fortune. Fred's miss a few minutes before that was equally embarrassing.

I don’t like Jose but he was right about Rashford, he’s just not natural born finisher.

Shame he missed that chance but we looked more dangerous with him on the pitch compared to Ronaldo.

That miss was criminal.

A top finisher would have also finished themselves when he went past Pope.

The one time he finally attacks the right area as a 9 he misses a sitter. Rest of the time he’s just hiding on the wings popping it around in circles like the rest of the lads.

This is the truth.

He has to be putting chances like that away, at that point in the game.

Last chance was a sitter and there can be no excuses for not scoring, infact it was not even a shot on target which is criminal.

He’s not a top finisher. He’s an inside forward who can pop up with 15/20 goals and 10ish assists a season. He’s never going to be clinical.

Fred should’ve buried that open goal.

Are you excusing him for that so?

Any inside forward worth his salt at United would be burying that in the dying seconds.

Tbh I was surprised he even jumped for the header, usually let’s it float over him while pretending to challenge for it

Could he have passed the ball into the net when he rounded Pope? I think he should at least have tried - but Fred has to be scoring that.

That's a criminal miss by him in stoppage time as well. His finishing today and against Omonia was abysmal.

Should have cashed in when we had a chance
Silly post. He's been great recently and made us ten times more threatening when he came on.

It's a shame he missed that header but what a difference it made to have an actual weapon on the pitch.

What a miss but don’t expect much from him either he’s never been a striker and will never be.

Fred's chance ended up being much bigger than Rashford's was from that angle, so I'd say he did the right thing.

He's good at some types of finishes but not others. I wouldn't trust him with headers or instinctive finishes in the box. But he definitely improved us.

Did very well to pick out Fred and should have had an assist.

Should have buried the header at the end though. Didn't need to go across goal, just direct it down at the near post.

The Fred chance was definitely the easier...but it's Fred.

Terrible miss. 10 years ago, strikers like him play for likes of Tottenham while Robin Van Persie leads Man United to a Premier League title. That's where we are now, with the players we have. 2012/2013 Tottenham Hotspur.

Any decent inside forward would be burying that header, there's no defending that. Come on now. The job of any forward is to score goals.

The chances Rashford has missed in these last 2 games are that of an amateur, Luis Diaz would have scored 3/4 goals against Omonia and Newcastle had he had the chances Marcus had, and it's just not good enough for a so-called "professional" footballer.

Lively but that headed miss was frankly inexcusable to not even get on target. No pressure on him and that close to goal

Has to score that.

We looked much better with him on the pitch though... It should just be on the left wing

Oh calm down. All footballers miss chances at some point...this is melodramatic nonsense. He should have scored it, yes, but it happens. We looked more dangerous when he came on.

He'll never be a #9
Well that's my point. The balls in behind and scoring 1 v 1s are his bread and butter but it's the good movement in the box and getting onto the edge of cross that makes a good 9 a great one. He just simply has to score.

Christ our standards have plummeted.

Did everything well except score. One or two brainfarts when over dribbling but a good sub appearance. However, he will judged on that chance at the end. It is what it is.
